Hope you are feeling somewhat better. I imagine you were in extreme pain!!! 
I know my DD's horse fancies herself the Alpha and she really is. She doesn't even like to go in second. I straightened her butt out the other day when she started kicking with DD at the other end of the lead rope, all because my mare went in first.

. My dad scolds her all the time about safety around them because they are so huge. Two winters ago she managed to get herself between them and a gate into the pasture, one whipped around to kick the other and landed his huge hoof on her butt instead. She literally had a horse shoe shaped BLACK bruise there for months, and the doctor said it would have snapped her leg if it would have been a little lower.
