Just got beat up

Hope you are feeling somewhat better. I imagine you were in extreme pain!!! :grouphug:

I know my DD's horse fancies herself the Alpha and she really is. She doesn't even like to go in second. I straightened her butt out the other day when she started kicking with DD at the other end of the lead rope, all because my mare went in first. :sad2:

Don't feel bad, my stepmom has two Clydesdales that she treats like big dogs:rolleyes2. My dad scolds her all the time about safety around them because they are so huge. Two winters ago she managed to get herself between them and a gate into the pasture, one whipped around to kick the other and landed his huge hoof on her butt instead. She literally had a horse shoe shaped BLACK bruise there for months, and the doctor said it would have snapped her leg if it would have been a little lower.

She's more careful around them now ;).

Glad you're okay and also impressed that you both stayed on!

The Nancy Kerrigan thing was funny. But seriously, I hope you are doing ok and get that knee looked at if it gets any worse.
My neighbor got into the middle of a tussle between 2 horses and was kicked so hard she broke her back. That was scary getting off the school bus to see ambulances and fire trucks in the front yard. She managed to get back to the barn and call an ambulance. Thankfully she put a phone in the barn, she never would have made it to the house.

The knee is doing great. I always carry my cell phone on me when I'm out and about the farm or riding. Too many horror stories of falling off or getting injured and having to lay there waiting for help.

I'm happy no one has serious injuries. What an awful experience!

Yikes, sorry!! Horses are so big that I am always scared of them crushing me, kicking me, or stepping on my feet.

Hope you are feeling better!
