We spent last Monday at DC. It was an awesome day!! Weather was perfect.
There were 7 of us and all of us thought it was just great.
I couldn't get my kids out of the tropical fish reef. They now LOVE snorkeling!! The dolphin swim wasn't long enough but it was great. The lunch was very good- and they give you many choices.
We fed the sting rays- relaxed on the lazy river-which is very warm, fresh water.
The only disappointment was yesterday when we got home and looked at the $200 disc of photos I purchased- it was missing my DH, one of my DD's and myself, completely!! It had my SIL, niece and nephew on it. Luckily, I called and they are going to make me a new one. They save the pictures. Phew! Also- the video has a pretty long promotional section before they show your dolphin swim. I think they could have done without that. After all- we already did it- we don't need to see an ad for it everytime we watch the tape of ourselves. We are going to dub it over to DVD anyway- so we'll cut that part out.
Overall- my family highly recommends a day at DC!::yes::

Glad u had a good day its pretty excellent isn't agree doplhin part too short:jester:

Glad that you had a great time at DC ~ Have to agree that the dolphin swim time is far too short.

How short is the dolphin swim? We were there about a month or so after they opened several years ago. At the time, it seemed like a pretty decent amount of time - I want to say we were in the water about 30 minutes or more. Has that changed? I wonder if they made it shorter. We're going again this summer and 2 of our kids who were too young the last time are going to get to swim this time - hope it isn't too short!!

I don't know exactly how long we were in the water with the dolphin. It seemed like close to 1/2 an hour. I heard that its been shortened a bit since they 1st opened.

Thanks - I wondered if maybe they had shortened the time since their opening season.

Ours was 20 minutes, but that was in 2001. Seemed to be over in a flash. You get your kiss, pet the dolphin in the middle, get a ride to the shore, and poof, it's ova. Things we're just getting good and they ask everyone to come out on the shore as they swap out the dolphins. Hope it's 30 minutes for you.

We did DC in April and our dolphin swim was 30 mins long.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!

Elaine
