Just returned from a few days in DL and DCA! Had a blast, hated the hotel (Anaheim Plaza), and loved the weather up until yesterday!

Glad you had a good time. I was at DL yesterday too. Just a day trip from San Diego. Was curious why you hated the weather? I thought it was lovely. Not too hot, not humid. And I was shocked at how low the crowds were. The longest line we saw was for Space Mtn at 25 minutes, and we had a fast pass. It was an awesome day. Again, I thought it would be packed the week before the 4th of July.

It was way too hot for me! I was cooking! I am so burnt!!!

We got there on Thursday and the weather was perfect Thursday, Friday and Saturday!

We were also shocked with the crowd level. We expected it to be packed and it never was. Thursday in DL was awesome!

Funny, I just returned from a trip to DL and DCA and I rather liked the Anaheim Plaza. I had a nice room by the pool. The weather was perfect for this time of the year in LA. Sorry you hated the hotel.

It is too bad we had such a bad exerience becasue we have stayed there for the last three years. We also recommended it to a lot of people and a few also had issues. I know everyone has their own situations and opinions, but for us, we are no longer staying there or recommending it!

My niece is in a cast and on crutches and a wheelchair and they mopped the hallway and didn't have any signs out! She came out and we started down the hallway and she slipped and fell hard. A maid was standing right there when it happened and just looked at her and laughed! She could have been really hurt!

Although I don't think that I would have complained about that maid laughing at your niece, which I know you did not say that, I am just stating it, I would have been angered by her stupidity for the incident, you could have sued them, then I don't believe that she would be laughing anymore, all the way to the unemployment line.!
A long time ago, I had an incident similar to yours, it was not at a hotel though, it was very horrifying to see, how many people actually thought it was either funny, or they were indifferent.
If I see someone just slip o.k. I might and probably would giggle over it, I believe it is a part of human nature, however to laugh at someone that is handicapped at the time? No way!! that is just so cold, mean, nasty and low down, low class too! stupid,stupid rude maid! she probably just hates her job, and so does not care about anyone else there, just a thought.
I hope that you reported the fall to the office, and received room credit or something else of value. when one falls down, it can be really very painful!
I am angry at that woman for laughing at her, that is adding insult upon an already injured person, then is adding on top of that more physical pain!

Forgot to add, at the time of my rather humiliating fall, I was with a thigh high cast on my left leg, accompanied with crutchs, those are not any fun whatsoever, blisters under my arms, and every time I had to go up or down stairs OMG how I hated it, I cringed at that prospect, or when being on the other side of a door, I always worried about someone flying out of it, as it were, and there I am on the other side with less than perfect balance and with nothing to hold onto, but those blasted crutches, oh I so hate those!!
