Great to hear that you are back. Look forward to hearing all about it :)

Hi all!!
had a lovely time!! Hadnt stayed at the Newport Bay before its totally awesome! there were alot of Spanish people there, and all over the park, I am thinking there must have been an offer or promo from there! Not a drop of rain the 4 days, I posted somewhere (sorry I havent got used to using the disboard yet) about the fleeces, they are on promo at the moment and lovely! Also, theres already alot of xmas stuff in the stores, lots of Stitch!! we saw him onstage right next to the area where the Pinata is held, I had never seen the Pinata b 4, it was funny to see the little kids literally totally covering all the sweets that fell like rugby players going for the ball (sorry.. bad english!), so if you are taking kids make sure they are really close to the Pinada (dont want to SPOIL anything so wont give any details how it works for those who are going in the next few days)...
ahh, yes, if you happen to be there in 1 of the coming saturdays, please book your evening meal if you want to get into Planet Hollywood, Cafe Mickey or anywhere etc. because there will be hundreds and hundreds of people.. and before i forget, book your breakfast in the park BEFORE you leave, it will entitle you to get in an hour b4,head 4 Buzz Lightyear and try to get there b 4 they let the rope down and you will be able to get onto the ride at least 4 times before the crowds come, by the 2nd time you will have gotten an good idea of where the targets are and also if you want to buy the piccie, you have worked out where the camera is, and can smile and say cheese.. hahahaha.. nah, you will only be interested in zapping and watching the points go up!
dont know how to post photos but my dd might be able to help with a link or something later!
regards
P.

Welcome back and thanks for your tips so far :thumbsup2 . Great news they open Buzz for Fantasyland breakfast guests... maybe I should ask the radio station we won with if we could also get Fantasyland Breakfast... :rotfl: oh and glad they already have christmas stuff, I`ll be sure to have a look at it. We will be there saturdays, so that means it will be very crowded right? :crowded: How bad were waiting times?

HI Steph
you get to see 3 rides when you get in for the early breakfast.. but not Buzz..(yes.. try to contact the radio station, i booked online and forgot to tell them about the breakfast in the park so i phoned them in disneyland, you must however, have a booking number) what you do is eat quick, and then go behind the rope, then make a quick run for Buzz Lightyear..when are u going ? for haloween? yes, book for saturdays if you want to eat at Walts book as soon as you get to the Park, also for Cafe Mickey , book 1st thing in the morning..
If you like buffets the lunch or dinner at the Newport Bay is HUGE, they have everything, prawns, salmon, pasta, pizza,(I have guinea fowl,) mouthwatering desserts,I saw the kids eating an ice lolly icecream . it costs 25 euros for adults, you have to pay extra for drinks and coffee.. The queues are long on the weekend, we did Buzz when the crowds came and without the fastpass it took us an hour and five minutes, after the 1st hour it starts getting crowded, best get a map of disneyland and work out what you want to see and plan well.
regards

OK, I understood that wrong... so I guess it would be also a good idea when we get to the park before opening and walk down Main Street to wait for rope drop at Discoveryland, because I`m afraid we won`t get Fantasyland breakfast...

That sounds so good but we will only be at the parks that day and have a special Halloween party in the evening with food so will stick to counter service and try to get on as many rides as we can! :woohoo:

Wow, that really is long, in July we never had to wait more than 30 mins!! :scared1:

And the problem is we alone will be arriving with 300 guests from Germany at the same time! At least we already know the parks and can plan on what are must-dos for us... only 11 hours for both parks and shopping is extremely short :hourglass We will have a sit-down before we leave and make a masterplan :stir: I will let you all know about it to see what you think of it...

Did Fastpasses run out early?

Thanks again for your tips :thumbsup2

Hi Steph
at 10 o'clock they were giving out fastpasses for Buzz for 2 o'clock!!!
you are going to have to run fast or push!!for the rides lol.
if i were you i would be taking a couple of packaged croissants, musli bars and small pringles some sandwitches (what you like eating)and a couple of tetra pak drinks, so you dont waste time..didnt know you are only there 4 a few hours,,glad it isnt your 1st time in the park.. those 2 shops near the door (1 on either side) dont seem to have many people..ok.. they dont have everything, but you are prepared that these 2 shops have the least people, ok, take me pictures of the party, i will see if my daughter can download my pictures quick so i have something to show you,

Good morning and welcome back. I hope that you are able to put on some photos..I would love to see them. My family and I ( with 4 and 6 yrs old daughter) will be going from Dec. 26th until Dec 31st. I already booked a room at the Admiral's floor. Does that mean that I do not have to worry about breakfast hours...I believe I have free choice of time. I also booked two Good Morning Fantasyland breakfasts, specially one on my last day...Saturday in order to get into the park early.
You wrote about a confirmation number regarding the Good Morning Fantasylnad breakfast, did you get that one at the hotel, or before you arrived to DLRP ?
This will be the first time for my family in DLRP ( I have already been to WDW in Orlando) and I want this to be avery special vacation.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks again...
Martina

Buon giorno, Martina!
i will get my daughter to post piccies either here or with link somewhere else as I am not that savvy!
I booked everything online (not from the travel agent)and then rmemebered that i forgot to get the Breakfast in the Park, so what i did was i phoned disneyland and told them on which day i wanted the breakfast in the park, gave them the reservation confirmation number, the next day they sent me an email. When you arrive, they will give u an envelope with the park tickets inside, a Pink letter to present to Breakfast in the park, and also your b'fast tickets. On saturday they gave us our breakfast ticket and that was in the Convention room, it said 8 o-clock but the lady said we could go b 4 so we went at 7.30, on Sunday the b'fast ticket was for Yacht Club which is very nice here they have a toaster, and you can make your own toast ;-), we didnt get to choose where to go with the b'fasts apart from the the Park, we chose our own day, and that was Before we left. So, that way we had our b'fast in 3 different places and that was great! They are great, and very filling.
You will find Paris Disneyland smaller than Orlando but its an extremely friendly place and you will feel very much at home and even if you want to, at some time to go back to rest, the buses are very convienent and frequent, the Newport is a short walking distance, so you can easily go back when you are rested.
I am glad you were smart and booked early for xmas, one time i was late in booking and stayed at the Elysee Val d'Europe, nice too, but in my humble opinion, better to stay at a hotel onsite, less commuting
Say hello to Venice, I was there for Carnival this febuary, and I really want to come back again one day
I hope i havent left anything out, Please dont hesitate to ask if I have.
tanti saluti
Pauline

I live about an hour and a half from Venice !! Hopefully we will take our daughters this spring...They have never been there.
Welcome back !!

Have a nice time planning the rest of your trip :Pinkbounc
Sono certa that your children will love everything you plan..
btw.. theres a lovely kids area (they can do some colouring there) called Ariels lagoon right in front of the reception at Newport :artist:
