HI,
Just got back, wish I was still there. I REALLY dont want to go back to work tomorrow. Here is my trip report:
Day 1
landed at MCO at 4:30 and was met at the end of the escalator by the happy limo guy. Beautiful white stretch limo with soda and a movie all ready for the kids. We went to POR stayed in room 1806. I love this resort. We changed into shorts and went to DTD and had dinner at the rainforest cafe. I loved it. then did some shopping and back to POR for swimming.

Day 2
went and got my stars and stripes theme park passes and went to BB. My mom hates the water but we talked her into going on the lazy river. she no sooner got into her tube and there was a little snake trying desperately to get out of the water. the lifeguard called on her walkie and 3 CM's came and got rid of it. My mom hates snakes. Went on a few of the rides. I didnt brave the summet plummet. Personally I like typhoon lagoon better. then we went to Disney Quest. There were a few good virtual reality games there but overall I wasnt impressed with disney quest.

Day 3
storybook princess breakfast at EPCOT in norway. This was wonderful. We saw snow white, mary poppins, jasmine, belle, & mulan. Then we hung out at EPCOT the rest of the day. Test track is a blast. We went to all the countrys in WS and my kids got there passports stamped in every country. We saw "the beatles" in the UK. they sounded alot like them and they were wonderful. I love the beatles. We also saw Paul Revere and the Raiders. they only sang 3-4 songs but they were also wonderful. stayed for illuminations. didnt have a big dinner, just had hotdogs.

Day 4
Magic Kingdom. dont stand right in front of the castle for the fireworks, its not a good view as the fireworks were behind the castle and didnt go high enough for us to see. everything else there was great. we had dinner at the crystal palace which was great.

Day 5
Back to EPCOT for the mothers day brunch ( tons of food, couldnt eat it all) But it was all wonderful. I love having dessert for breakfast.:) then we went to MGM. My dad jumped a foot out of his chair at honey I shrunk the audience. that was hilarious. we had dinner at the 50's prime time cafe, where "cousin scott" was our waiter and introduced us to our "other cousins from colorado" who were sitting at the table next to us. I loved this restaurant.

Day 6
animal kingdom...wonderful... got my mom on the kali river rapids and afterwards she said "that wasnt so bad".. she didnt get soaked, me and my youngest DD did. Saw a walking tree, that was cool. we were able to catch all the shows. Flights of wonder, festival of the lion king, pocohontas, and tarzan rocks. I didnt care much for tarzan. the music was too loud and I like loud music but this was just too loud. the rest of the shows were great. The primevil whirl was fun. Out of all the parks I went to I had a 20 minute wait for Primevil whirl and that was the longest wait. I did take advantage of the fastpass. then we went to DTD and had dinner at Planet hollywood. that was loud but great. food was wonderful.

Day 7
went home this day but the limo didnt pick us up til 2pm so we slept in a little and checked out at 11am. then just walked around the resort taking pictures and had lunch until 2pm. I did see a pelican eat a snake, that was cool. The snake was huge and this pelican just kept throwing it and pecking at it, then ate it. I thought this was interesting as I had never seen anything like that before and I dont care for snakes. The flight home was much better then the flight down except my oldest DD had alot of trouble with her ears. they hurt her so bad she was crying and her left ear didnt pop until sometime today.

well if anyone has any questions just ask.

Sounds as though you had a marvelous trip!!!

My ears have done that before. I was on a business trip the 1st time and I really thought blood must be dripping from my right ear it hurt so bad. I was crying, too. I thought maybe I was havoing a weird migraine. So, as soon as we landed and I had a chance, I took an Imetrex injection. It did nothing, so I knew it wasn't a migraine. My right ear just will not pop sometimes. Since then, I always have ear plugs with me. On the decent, I can usually tell if my ear will give me problems and a scramble to put the plugs in.

It REALLY HURTS!!!! I feel for you daughter and hope she is feeling better now.

She is much better now, thanks for asking. It did surprise me when I looked over at her and she was crying. I didnt hear her but saw her tears and I just put my arm around her and asked what was wrong. we tried gum chewing and ear plugs and I guess it helped her a little...she quit crying but she still had her hand on her ear. I kept checking for blood and was worried that her eardrum might burst. I dont know if that can happen on planes or not but she had me worried. but she is fine now.
Kim

PS... that has never happened to me, I just yawn and my ears will unplug. So I didnt know how to help her not knowing what she was feeling.

Welcome back. Sounds like you had a great trip except for your daughter's ear pain.

I'm going to move this to our trip reports board, for you.

Your trip souns great! I can't wait to get back!
1 Hint Give DD purple dimetapp 1/2 hour before your plane departs. My pediatrician told me it helps with the ears and it cannot hurt them. I have used it for many flights and it always worked!

My husband's eardrum did burst on descent coming home from Kansas City one time. I have terrible ears, and I went deaf coming back home into Nashville once and didn't get my hearing back for two hours. But now I've found a wonderful product that really helps. In addition to using Afrin nasal spray about 15 minutes before take-off, I bought some Ear-Planes at Walgreen's. They have them in children and adult sizes. They are only good for about two uses, but they have made a tremendous difference in my comfort level on a plane trip! Try them!

Thanks for the reports!!! Luv reading them.

Thanks for the report. Just a note about your Oldets DD's ears. Before your kids get on a flight give them a 1/2 tablet of Benadryl for sinus. This works wonders for my DD. She never has a problem anymore. Just a suggestion.

Sounds like you had a great trip! It's always hard coming back. Best cure for that is to start planning another one!!
