Just got back this morning

Arrived back in Manchester at 9:00 am this morning after another fantastic holiday.


Some particular highlights were:

• Exotic Car Festival at Celebration
• Margaritas at the Mai Tiki Bar on the pier at Cocoa Beach
• Manny's Chop House (ate there 3 times!)
• 'Mustangs and Mustangs' at Fantasy of Flight
• Tom Jones concert at Hard Rock Live
• Strolling past the lakeside mansions in Celebration and imagining living in one like thishttp://www.tonydavidshomes.com/Nav.aspx/Page=%2fPageManager%2fDefault.aspx%2fPageID%3d2094429
• Watching the line dancers at the Saturday night car cruise in Old Town - don't they take it seriously?!!

The cruise starts at 8:30 pm, but it's worth getting there before 7:00 pm to get parked up and have a wander around the cars before the cruise starts.

Don't forget to check out the line dancers too! There was also a 'mature' couple there last week who were doing some 'dirty dancing'. Oh dear Had to restrain myself from telling them to get a room!

Wayne - you absolutely MUST try Manny's. We brought you back a spare copy of the menu, if you want it!

The steaks are fab - and include the wonderful 'never-ending salad bowl', unlimited fresh hot bread rolls, side of fries/baked potato/rice & Beans/other options. Happy Hour lasts from 4-7 e.g. 2 margaritas for $4.59 plus tax.

You can wait a long time for a table, but they do 'call ahead'. Or, do what we do and either sit at the bar or on the verandah and get served straight away!

Texas Roadhouse is good - but Manny's is better!


Wondering whether they might take a cheeky offer for that house. It has already been reduced by $2.1m!

We have tried to go last few visits but so many places we like, not enough time. Will make the effort this trip.
Seen there menu online, looks good to me.
Glad I don't own property over there. My Brother almost bought in Vegas last year, all fell thru with the mortgage market problems. House he was buying started at $600k he agreed on around $400k, glad he didn't get it as its on the market again at $300k and can't sell it.

Sounds like a great trip

At Christmas we drove round the houses at Celebration - they are great if not a little overpriced

Manny's is on Highway 27, 8 miles South of the I-4/27 junction.

Look out for 3 sets of traffic lights close together. CVS Pharmacy on opposite side of road at 2nd set of lights. 3rd set crosses Commerce Ave (we think). Manny's is on the right after that junction, past Sonny's Real Pit Barbecue.

Can't say anything about the desserts, as we have never had room for any, but that cheesecake on the thread that Wayne posted looks tempting. It'll be on the plan for next year!

On Wednesday nights they do '2 for 1' Fajitas for $8.99. Not as good as the steaks, but good value. You can add the salad bowl for $2.49 each too.

Must be jetlagged - forgot to mention the shopping!

Still some good bargains to be had, despite the exchange rate difference since last year at this time.

Best place I found bargains - Premium Outlet. Got some really good discounts in the new Cosmetics and Perfume store that L'Oreal have opened up there.
