scared: First, dont worry, I would never sue the happiest place on earth but it did enter my mind, we just got back this past Sunday, Here is what happened, first I'll paint the whole picture for you, My DD5 @ 42" is a thrill seeker, she will go on any roller coaster that her size will allow, she is afraid of nothing, I have been pumping my daughter up to ride Tower of terror at MGM for 3 months, I must admit, I thought it would be a little to much her but over the last 3 months I managed to convince my DD5 into doing it, now convicing her was no easy task, DW34 who is afraid of lady bugs kept reminding my daughter that she had a sense called fear, and that my DW34 would never go on such a ride, I could sense from my DD5 that it was in the back of her mind, anyway here is what happened, myself, DS14,DN18(niece) aND DD5 got on the ride, we were seated in the last row, my DD5 laughed the entire time on the ride, I focused entirely on her, watching her every expression, and let me tell you that this kid loved it!!!! as the ride ended she was yelling "LETS DO IT AGAIN - THAT WAS GREAT" - the doors soon opened and people began exiting, being in the last row we were in the last 5 to exit, my DS14 and DN18 exited in front of us when all of the sudden the doors closed in front of us, leaving 5 of us inside the elevator, there was no light, I mean pitch black, now one thing my DD5 is completey afraid of is pitch black and it was all that, well, I started punching, banging, kicking on the door and yelling we are still inside, the doors never opened, then the ride bagan moving in reverse rather quickly,, the 5 of us jumped into our seats but the seat belts would not work, they were locked open, then the ride started going up, only 5-10 feet but seemed like we were going to the top,at that time some guy stuck inside with us started yelling that the ride is going back up and that we were going to die, he was in total panick mode, I had to yell at him the shut the @#*^ up, by now my DD5 is wailing,,, the ride finally came to a stop, when the doors opened a security guard was standing there telling me that everything was okay and that I needed to calm down, now Im not boasting but i am afraid of nothing, however I did see a site that I would never want to see again, the site of true, pure fear engulfing my entire DD5's face.,well, as most parents would do, i proceeded to yell at the secutrity gaurd stating " CALM DOWN? YOUR TELLING ME TO CALM DOWN? THATS EASY FOR YOU TO SAY, YOUR NOT THE ONE WITH A PETRIFIED 5 YEAR OLD IN YOUR ARMS" well that is the first time my daughter has ever seen me lose my cool, anyway, we we escorted behind the scenes to a holding area/office, the security guard asked if anyone was hurt, all said no except me whose hand was swelling from punching the door and my DD5 still crying so hard that she could barely breath, he then said "have a nice day, the exit is behind you" well I mentioned that i was sure that my attorney would like for me to make an official statement, with that said we were shortly greeted by the director of operations, the operations manager, the person who caused the error, several staff members, disney safety, directry of security and a bunch others, I stated to them they will need to assure that my daughter has a fantastic time and possibly no legalities would be involved, well we were given no wait privaledges for all rides, we could sit any where we wanted, we were given VIP seating for all shows, we were asked to participate in all shows, we were given given 1 on 1 meet and greet with any charachter we chose, my daugter primarily wanted to meet belle so we had it arranged, we ended up meeting most of the cast, this time my daughter was crying with happiness, absolutely priceless, we had 1 on 1 with woody, buz, Darth Vader (for me), wazowski and sully, we were also given VIP seating for the parades, all the characters walked up to my DD5 and DS 2, they loved it,, we rode RR 7 times never having to wait, the day truly turned into a marvolous time, DD5 however will never go on Tower of terror again and wife keeps saying "I TOLD YOU SO":yay:

I am so happy that Disney did a lot of things to make up for the terrible situation on the TOT. I do hope that in time your DD recovers from her fear and will ride it again. :)
