Hi Anita36,
I just thought I would add to the "Don't leave the boards" I am really sorry people are harassing you. I have read other posts where this has happened and I think it's sad. I think people get a lot meaner when you cant see their face.
My very first trip to WDW was on my honeymoon-in August last year. I hated it. I told everyone the best ride was the plane trip going home. The lines were long, their idea of "fast" rides was embarrassing, I was hot and groucy, food was expensive and poor quality- I wanted healthy and on the go. Hoop De Do was Doo Doo as far as I was concerned, there were turtles in the river at CB- and they show sailboats in the photo of the brochure- whoever heard of a place where you can sail, but not swim? And the pool was always crowded, waaay too many kids to enjoy myself, kids whining on the buses, 40min waits for busses... I swore up and down I was never going back-ever. I did NOT see the "Disney Magic"
Then something happened....can't say what got into me- I think I came here-the the boards- to figure out why people liked it. And I caught it- the Disney Bug. I decided to go back. In May. Not as long a trip, but I planned, and I studied and I got TourGuide Mike's info to touring the parks. We followed his advice. There were no sore feet. We never stood in line. We stayed at POFQ. Now I fantisize about going back. I took my second WDW trip in a different frame of mine. I also realized its nostalgic for a lot of people. I love Universal too and found that far better the first time I went. The second time we never made it over, we were having such a good time we came home with unused Universal tickets.
All this to say....perhaps in years down the road you will decide to try it again and will have a different experience.
I hope you stay on the boards, if you want to. I know I had a bitter taste in my mouth about my honeymoon, and I agree, there are other vacations I love too. But I wish you all the happiest vacations- because no matter where you go, it should be a joy to be there.
