Left Thursday got back late monday night. Had the greatest time. A little chilly in the PM, first time having hot coco at wdw.. Use Q&C vouchers and VKL vouchers, saved TONS, and it was so fun to get what ever we wanted. Only spent $40.00 out of pocket for extra meals and wasn't being cheap. Candlelight processional was beautiful and the Osborne lights were awesome. Really enjoyed the the MK park opening ceremony, never knew about that. Visited the resorts to see the Christmas decorations, WOW! I just love Disney :earboy2: Disney outlet shopping is so worth it, got some great deals. Well the suitcases await me! When can I go again???????

What is the MK opening Cermony?

We LOVED the vouchers! Our favorite places were Beaches and Cream and Rainforest Cafe. We went to BC twice, RC once. At B&C most of us (11 adults and 8 kids) ordered double cheeseburgers with double bacon (mostly to keep the burger 'layers' apart) and grilled onions with an extra bun. My family (2 vouchers) were charged for an extra bun on one visit, no one was charged any other time. We all ordered either onion rings (VERY GOOD) or chili fries (just okay) as our side. For desserts...the first night we stuck to the menu, the second night we played around and added marshmellow and cherries and changed ice cream flavors. The No Way Jose was too good to change up though :D The mud slide, we went with 2 scoops of mint and one scoop of vanilla instead of the 3 scoops of vanilla, MUCH better. -- All our servers were great. Our first server (the one that charged for the buns) was a voucher stickler (he was an italian looking man...don't recall his name).

Rainforest was AWSOME. We had 7 adults and 5 kids. We used 4 adult vouchers and 2 kids vouchers. The server was AWSOME and encouraged us to use the vouchers to get the expensive $7 kids drink bottle (comes with a toy!). We had 6 vouchers and only five kids, so we gave 5 of the drink bottles (with icees) to the kids and I hade a soda in the 6th. She also encouraged us to order adult meals with the kids vouchers, and let the kids eat off our plates or eat appatizers, which is what we ended up doing. As we ordered, she upgraded everyones food. It was cracking us up :) 'How bout we upgrade your steak to this' 'okay, and I'll add some shrimp for you' :) She let us order 3 volcanos with our 6 vouchers. All in all, our voucher portion of the meal came to like $425 (non voucher was just a couple of drinks, $15 I think). 4 adult and 2 kid vouchers cost us maybe $150??? Not bad if you ask me! (and....some of the entrees were 'cheap' $21 ones). We were VERY impressed :)

My brother and SIL went there for breakfast one morning using a breakfast voucher. They too were encouraged to get the kids drink bottles. They said everything they got was upgraded as well. They were pleased :)

I'm going next week and planning to use 4 adult vouchers for 7 people, 4 of which are teenagers. Will that be enough for all of us to eat on? Did they just bring you extra plates to share the entrees/appetizers with? I don't want to have too much food left over, but don't want to have too little either.

Meteas Mom
sounds like you got a great deal. Do you remember who your server
was?

I don't remember her name, but remembered that it was a strange name. I just looked at the reciept and it says 'Oca'. I don't know if that was her name or if that's some abbreviation or code or something LOL :) She was bubbly and blonde. She was probably in her late 20s or early 30s (though I'm not a good judge of age).

Maxine, I think you'll have MORE than enough food. We didn't eat 1/2 the food they brought to us. They did bring out plenty of extra plates for us, and then bowls with dessert.

MateasMom,
Thanks for the breakdown of your meals, that is very helpful.:) I whimped out and got 2 adult vouchers, for DH, DS(12), & myself. I was afraid they wouldn't let DS get the steak & lobster with the child's vouchers. Looks like we would have had no trouble. :(

travelin' mouse,
I'm going to the restaurant board to see if you've posted a report. If not, like others have mentioned, I would love to hear more details about your use of the vouchers. Where did you eat? What did you get? How cooperative was the servers? TIA :)

We used our vouchers at Beaches and Cream and they were definitely a great value. How does everyone get rid of extra vouchers? Do you use eBay or Disney Auctions?

Which kind of vouchers would you recommend buying for 2 adults who don't
do breakfast (probably a late lunch or early dinner)? RFC and B&C are two places we enjoy-where else would you get your $'s worth?

For late lunches, order one VKL for two adults. Split the appetizer and dessert. Order a second entrée and beverage and pay for them out-of-pocket. RFC is the best bargain for using the VKLs but we also got a nice meal at the LTT using them.

If you use the Q&C vouchers, you could easily feed 2 people with one voucher at Tangierine Café (Morrocco-EPCOT). The food is a little different but the is a lot of it for the price. If you're at all adventurous, give it a try.

We also found that the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs is an excellent value if you're using the Q&Cs. You can use one voucher for two people andpurchase an extra beverage (perhaps another sidedish as well). If you're at Blizzrd Beach for the day, it might be worth stopping at CSR to eat at the Pepper Market.

Just used VKL vouchers last week and Rainforest Cafe. Our server was great but I can't remember his name. We had 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 9) and used 2 child vouchers and 1 adult.

The child's vouchers worked just like the adult ones, so everything we ordered was off the main menu. At the servers suggestion, we got 2 Rainbow Icees in a take home sports bottle (including a rainforest animal toy) and 2 smothies. Had to pay out of pocket for 1 smoothie, but that's all we paid for.

We ordered Shrimp Cocktail, Crab Cakes and the Blue Crab Delight as our appetizers. The kids ate the shrimp and the adults shared the crab dishes. No problem getting extra plates to share with.

For our meal, the kids split a pizza and they even let us make it half pepperoni and half supreme. They couldn't even finish the pizza.

The adults each got Filet Mignon with the stuffed lobster add-on, again at the servers suggestion. It came with steak, lobster, mashed potatoes and some kind of slaw. Neither of us could finish it all.

For dessert we got the banana cheesecake, bananas foster and key lime pie. We could have gotten the volcano by combining 2 vouchers, but we decided we wanted to go for variety.

Next time we will probably just use 2 child vouchers and still have plenty of food. My suggestion is anyone with kids, figure out how many total vouchers you will need, then plan on using as many child vouchers as you have kids.

Thanks for the breakdown! I can't wait to try out these vouchers at RFC!

Sounds like your server was sent from resturaunt heaven :) Are you allowed to add extra tip at WDW? I would have given this one something extra for being so generous.

Tink~

What would you suggest for two adults. We don't really do breaky-just tend to have a nice late lunch/early dinner most of the time. Staying at the BC this time around. Will definitely have a dinner at the Yachtsman, maybe CaliGrill and maybe Cape May Clambake. More than likely B&C.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info. We're looking forward to using some vouchers next weeK!!!!!!!!!!!

I would suggest getting one Q&C voucher for the two of you at B&C. Split the sidedish and order and extra entrée and beverage to be paid for out of pocket. The desserts are HUGE, so split that as well.

There are vouchers for dinners at CA Grill, Yachtsman or CM Clambake. They're called Vacation Kingdom Dinner Vouchers and the only place that I know of that sells them is Action Travel . The cost of these vouchers is $72/adult voucher and they offer an appetizer, entrée, non-alcoholic beverage and dessert. Taxes and tips are included. Personally, I think the price is a little steep for what you get but there may be some places on their list that you at least break even. I've never dealt with the company, so I cannot say how reliable they are.

You could purchase Vacation Kingdom Lunch Vouchers and eat an early lunch. The VKLs state that they can be used for a late lunch at the Yachtsman Galley (not the Steakhouse), but none of the other restaurants that you have mentioned.
