Just got back...LOVE FP+ and Magic Bands!

Hi Everyone,

We just got back from our magical one week vacation to WDW! All I can say is that we had a BLAST. No problems, only one day of crazy crowds at MK on Wednesday, and absolutely NO issues with FP+ or our Magic Bands. I actually really enjoyed the FP's and using the Magic Bands. They worked the whole time with absolutely no problems for us at all. The kids loved using them!

For anyone with questions regarding the use of the Disability card for children with Autism...it was a life saver for our family. My son is 9 and has a HARD time waiting in long lines. We got our return time, did other things or rides with short lines while we waited, and returned back with no problems. It truly was a life saver for my son on this trip. Defiitely worth getting!

I was one of those who was shaking in my shoes over FP+ and the Magic Bands, but I found out that it really is NOT bad and actually worked out quite well for my family.

I am already ready to go back and experience the magic with my family again!

It sounds like they've worked out a lot of the early glitches! Glad to hear you and your family had a good time.

We really liked it too : ) We aren't rope drop people, so it takes away the anxiety of running around to get fast passes. With small children, you can't beat that!

I would really like to see the option to get one more fast pass, however. We were there during a crazy crowd time (between Christmas and New Years), so between navigating the crowds and all the other non-ride events, three rides per day was perfect for our kiddos (ages 2 and 7). However, we are retuning the first week of December, and it shouldn't be nearly as packed.

But, yes, we like the new system too!!

I loved FP+ and magic bands too. Not sure why other people gave them a bad name. My family was not full of "fast pass" people, so this was quite a treat to pick, in advance, the rides you knew would have long lines and pick what time you wanted to go. ONLY thing I disliked was having to limit FP to 3, but understand why they limit it to 3; otherwise, FP lines would be as long as regular lines.

I think that adding one more FP would be super beneficial, but I definitely understand why there is a limit. People would be doing stand-by instead of FP
