It was myself, dh, and ds4. We stayed at Pop Century, hit all 4 parks, used Magical Express, and toted Pal Mickey along. Any questions over anything?

Welcome home! Did you take advantage of any of the Extra magic hours or evenings? If so, your opinions please? Thanks so much. Also crowd levels? Wait times?

How was your experience with Magical Express? I'm planning to use it in October and I'm just curious.

Thanks and welcome back to reality! (I'm sure you're thrilled.) :rotfl2:

Hi! We didn't use EMH. We read the parks doing EMH on that particular day were the most crowded, so we avoided them. And with a 4 year old, we were too exhausted to need any extra time at the parks. The crowds were wonderful! Some of the signs posted a 30 minute wait, but the most we waited for any ride was 15 minutes. We rode Pirates and Haunted Mansion with no wait at all!

Tell me about Pal Mickey. Did you buy him in the parks? How much was he? What was he wearing? I have heard that the clip is not that great, what was your exprience with it? Who carried him the most and where\how? Anything else that you can share that I have not asked. :earsboy:

Hopefully by October all the kinks will be worked out of ME. Actually, it went quite well besides the luggage issue. We weren't sent luggage tags on time, so they had us meet a Disney rep with our baggage claim tickets. We got right on the bus, and went straight to our hotel. Our plane landed at 11:45 a.m., and no luggage until 7:15 p.m.! And the other half of the luggage arrived an hour later! I kept calling the desk and they would just say it might be on the next truck. So I would suggest either packing swimwear and all you want that first day in your carry on, or grabbing your luggage yourself so you know you'll have it.

Have a nice trip! :cool1:

Pal Mickey was $65 plus shipping, I ordered him over the phone ahead of time. He's $65 or $70 in the parks. He wears a removable tux for the 50th celebration. I always carried him. I used the lanyard he came with and just threw him over my shoulder like a bag or purse. I saw others wearing him like a necklace, though. I didn't try the belt clip. If you use him, make sure he faces forward when you enter the parks so he can get updates. I've posted other info. with others' questions you may want to read.

Good luck! :flower:

sounds like you had a great time.
sorry your back :guilty:

Oh, yeah, and if you have a Pal Mickey, be aware he may go off at the airport scanner. I had to take him out of my bag...

where did you order him ahead of time from? I would love to do that so i can leave to box at home... :earsboy:

Glad to hear the crowds were at a good level. I completely agree with you about the evening EMH's and a 4 year old. My DS4 got almost jet lagged form staying up late for fireworks and MNSSHP last visit. EMH at night are just not going to work for us. On the plus side the little love is up at 6am every morning so we will have little trouble making the morning ones!!

Hope you are settling back into real life okay!

Glad you had a great time! Were there any rides your 4 year old got scared of that surprised you? (Nothing like the big roller coaster rides or anything 'big' like that!!)
Did you use a stroller the entire time or did he walk or did you split that up some?
Thanks!

I'm glad you had a great trip!

My friend and I stayed at POP in March/April and jetted in for a four day trip. We did all the parks and were exhausted, but had an awesome time. We had a beautiful view over the lake! :)

Question about the ME service. We leave Sat and have not received any tags yet as well. Can we just pick up our bags and take them with us to the bus. the wait time for getting them is scary. Thanks.

We read up quite a bit on the rides, and asked many questions on here. We took ds on Haunted Mansion and he just shut his eyes, but wasn't real terrified. I think it helped that we just got on without even telling him, that way he couldn't psych himself up over it. I have heard that Snow White and Bug's Life have frightened some young children, so we didn't try those.

He was too tired to walk much at all- we used the stroller nearly all the time.

Hi, yes, you can pick up your own bags! I highly recommend it! Just pick them up at baggage claim, then wheel them to the ME bus. If anyone asks, tell them you prefer to have them on your own. They'll just store them on the bottom of the bus, no worries! :flower:

I'm going in July and would prefer my bags not arrive in my room so late...Can I pick up my own bags in July or will they have the 'kinks' worked out by then???

I would hope the kinks are worked out by then, but no guarantees. I would grab my own bags just to be safe! Either that, or pack one day's items (clothes, swimsuits, etc.) in your carry on. ::MickeyMo
