Well, so much for weather.com's forecast of upper 70's to mid-80's weather. I was there from 10/19 - 10/23 and it got up to the upper 90's!! I cannot stress enough the importance of (1) WATER, (2) REST and (3) PACING YOURSELF. As soon as I get back home, I'll do a trip report, but all in all we had a blast!
Highlights:
* Billy Hill and the Hillbillies: LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this show!! I'd go back and see them every day if I could have.
* Indiana Jones: The only ride I'd voluntarily stand in line for an hour to ride. Yes, we grabbed FP's, but we just HAD to do this one first.
* TSMM: Yeah, my score sucked (83,000) but I had a blast! I'm not a videogame type of person, so I think I did pretty well.
* Steakhouse 55: GREAT Food, GREAT service. So great, we had breakfast there our last morning, in addition to the dinner on 10/21.
LOWLIGHTS:
* Tortilla Joes: Must be that I'm not used to those kinds of tacos, because the next day my friend and I had to leave the park due to too many trips to the bathroom.
* Temperatures: HORRIBLY HOT! Thankfully the crowds weren't too bad after Sunday.
* Space Mountain: Well, can't say I didn't try it. My friend, who never gets sick on these things, told me I'd be fine. Well... she got sick and I got the daylights scared out of me. However, I bought the pic to prove to people that I did it. That did sufficiently scare me enough to not go on Screamin' or TOT.
* PhotoPass Photographers: Either I wasn't looking very hard, or there just weren't very many of them around. I was only able to get one picture taken.
* Line for Nemo: Never, never again. We did the monorail first thing Thursday AM (wrong move - shoulda walked) and got in line as soon as we got there. 45 minutes in the hot sun, with NO umbrellas up for our comfort. Cute ride, but not worth the wait.
* Grizzly River Run: Not really a "low"light because the cold water felt great, but... I was the one who caught the brunt of it, and it took me 3 hours to dry off. Hard to walk around with your top and jeans dragging on the ground.
I'll stop now, and write up a full report later when I get home. Our trip was filled with fun, and a lot of drama, as well.
