I just got back from a wonderful visit to WDW. We did so much, it's hard to believe I was only there for a week! I'll be doing a full trip report on the trip reports board, but here are a few highlights:

MVMCP: There have been questions on the Boards about whether this is worth the cost. My answer: absolutely! We went on Thursday, December 16. The crowds were not bad at all, and we walked onto every ride. We did much, much more than we thought we'd be able to do in one evening. The parade, fireworks and snow on Main Street were beautiful.

Candlelight Processional: I saw CP in 2002, but it was even more beautiful than I remembered. We had Gary Sinise for our narrator in 2002, and he did such a great job I was afraid I'd be disappointed with a different narrator. I was wrong! Edward James Olmos was perfect. He did such an outstanding job, if I get to go back to CP again and he's narrating, I'll make a special effort just to see him.

Off Kilter: These guys are great. I saw a lot of their shows this trip, especially on my last two solo days, and it was fun every time.

Jellyrolls: I went here my last two evenings because DIS friends had recommended it. I was afraid I'd feel out of place since it was during the solo part of my trip, but everyone was so friendly I was comfortable right away. I had an absolute blast both evenings, and I can't wait to go back again. If anyone is going to Jellyrolls soon, tell Jason and Tommy that Karen from Kentucky said hi!

Sounds wonderful. I have never dared to try WDW near Christmas though I would love to. If you got lots done, maybe it wasnt so busy ? I look forward to your trip report. :flower:

Kaycee,

Glad you had a great trip. I visited Jellyrolls this past May for the first time and I had a blast!! It was so much fun and there was a great crowd there. I also had a chance to see a little of Off Kilter. I thought they were awesome, but I was with my grandmother, so we didn't stay and watch long.

Look forward to your full trip report. How was going solo? I am planning on doing that for a couple days next year before my friends arrive.

I loved having a couple of solo days. It was totally different than when I was there with my friend, or when I've been there with my family in the past. I talked to so many people that I probably wouldn't have talked to if I had other people with me. And it was great to be able to do whatever I felt like without worrying about what other people wanted to do. I'm hoping I can have more solo WDW time soon. I highly recommend it! :D

I was there December 16-23. The crowds were not bad at all the first few days. We walked onto pretty much everything. I'm used to visiting during June when it's really busy, so the crowds seemed light to me. It started getting crowded my last couple of days, but I expected that so I did all my MK touring the first few days since that park gets the most crowded. I saved Epcot for the last part of the trip since it never seems as crowded as MK or MGM.

We visited December 18-24, 2002, and the crowd pattern seemed about the same this year as it was that year. If you get there before December 20 or 21, the crowds aren't bad, then they build the closer you get to Christmas.

If you get a chance to go in December sometime, I highly recommend it. It's so beautiful and there's so much to see and do. :D

The crowds leading up to Christmas were very manageable this year. We were there from the 12 to the 19th and had little or no wait. We also went to the MVMCP on the 16th and also enjoyed the fact that there was little or no wait for any rides. We just walked onto Stitch and Buzz, yet during the day there was a wait.

Saw Eartha Kitt at the CP and the evening was great but bitterly cold. The Biergarten was fantastic for the PS portion of the CP package.

looking forward to the next vist. (Just have to plan it)

We also ate at the Biergarten for our CP package and absolutely loved it. I'll be doing a dining review on the restaurant board, but I will say that I was very pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this meal. As a vegetarian, I was mostly going for the atmosphere and didn't expect much selection for my meal. But it turned out to be one of the best meals of my trip, and I had more than enough yummy vegetarian dishes to choose from! :D

Hi Kaycee! Glad to hear you had a great trip! It must've been a shock to come back to a fridged & ice covered Lexington. We ended up bumping our spring break trip to HHI to July because of my DD's new job. Looking forward to going to WDW in a few weeks though. I guess it's time to hit the books for you! Good luck!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
