I'm sure some of you have some great ideas!
We just got home Wednesday night after 9 night stay at the Polynesian. It's always such a hard place to leave; I'm sure many of you understand that feeling!
We have gone to WDW every 2 years (this was trip #3, so we went 2013,2015,2017) so it's unlikely we'll be back till 2019. I was trying to think of ideas to keep the Disney magic going at home, like Disney movies, making a scrapbook of our trip, making lists of things we'd like to get to do next trip, etc, but I bet there's lots of other fun ideas! So if you have ideas you're willing to share, post away! Thanks!

Know what you mean! We always have such a good trip together!
Besides the ideas you mentioned, we have a Disney food night, where we get together and try to make some of our favorite Disney food! (Winners last month were mom's take on the scrambled eggs, goat cheese and chives from Boma,
DS Secret Nachos from Peco's Bills, and DIL Dole Whip ice cream! We love to take a projector and show all the photo's from a trip, and play a version of What was your favorite (story, ride, funny moment, food etc) where we all try to guess who named what. We also spend a lot of time planning the matching tshirts for the next trip. (Yes, we are THAT family!)

Ohmygoodness!! I love your family photo! I meant to order Disney shirts on etsy but forgot! Those are so cute! Those are some great ideas, too. I forgot to mention that the day after we got back, we played Disney Pictopia as well!

Ahh, DWS, Disney Withdrawal Syndrome, very common, both of you have it bad. I'm available for interventions, but as I conduct the sessions inside and outside WDW, you'll have to come here.
Disney Withdrawal Syndrome :rotfl: yes, it's a very real thing! haha

We enjoy doing food too. Our favorite to make at home are the wings and bread pudding from Ohana.

We did a lot of movie nights preparing for our first two trips. We tried to watch every movie that had "something" in the parks. There are more than just the classics we usually think of (Haunted Mansion, Country Bears, etc.

You could get into Disney Bounding. My oldest had several great outfits during our last few trips. They were mostly subtle, so most people didn't notice that she was "dressing up" but it was a lot of fun for her to plan. Most of the items were from her regular wardrobe, so it wasn't an extra expense.

I swear it took me 3 months to get over my Disney withdrawals last summer. It was terrible! We had a movie night last Friday. 21192298_10155337765938580_700044637347436150_n.jpg 21272254_10155337765923580_6615546830175646591_n.jpg I also watch POV ride videos and listen to lost of Disney music.

I haven't heard of Disney Bounding, I'll have to Google it! What a great picture, such a fun idea! I wore my Lilo dress when we went to breakfast at 'Ohana which was fun!

We take our kids (DD11, DS8, DS6) every fall. We do a bunch of things in the months leading up to our trip. At bedtime, we sit with them and tell Disney stories (kids first trips, funny experiences, etc); Disney quizzes; new rides, or rides the littler ones are now big enough to ride; favorite restaurants, characters, Epcot countries, etc.

They love to look at pictures of past trips. My daughter will open the Disney pic file and put it on Slideshow. One rainy day this summer, I found my daughter taking her brothers on a "Virtual" Disney trip (our living room flat screen is our computer monitor). Using Google street view, Youtube videos, and our pics and videos, she took them on an adventure. (She actually found a video on YouTube of a bus ride from our hotel to one of the parks, and they sat there watching it!) They then "rode" each ride at MK by watching videos taken on the rides. The boys loved it.

They will also sit and watch parades on YouTube, "ride" the monorails or resort boats, watch fireworks.

We're an every other year family vmy kids loooove Disney movie nights. We do them every other week and I make themed food to go with the movie.

Every other year is tough but in a way it gives you a little breathing room to think and start planning the next trip. I definitely enjoy making the photo books and love looking at them. Listening to disney music sound tracks which our Alexia gets from amazon music. I think watching you tube videos of new restaurants you might want to try next time, watching ride videos or tours of resorts. Maybe thinking about trying a different resort. There are so many it is tough to choose but maybe splurging a little more on a more expensive resort (and figuring out how to save for it). Disney avenue is a website that has some theme park music to listen to.
