Just got back from the Transition Care home

It really looks like a home away from home! All the things you already have at home that are familiar to him......should hopefully be an easy stay.

You definitely need to take some time to care for yourself....will you even know what to do with your time?!!

I know exactly what we're gonna do. When he goes for the weekend, DH & I will take our camper and spend the weekend at nearby Stone Mountain, something we haven't done in years. And in September, while Christian is at the Dream House, I will be winging my way out to Washington to spend a week camping with my sister in the Cascades while DH & DD17 take a mini-vacation together.

I've been absent from the CB for a few weeks and didn't realize you had gotten this far in your planning for Christian's future.

The transitional home looks lovely. Best of luck with getting a permanent placement that's as nice soon. The waiting lists for group homes up here are years long.

Yeah, here too. Christian has been on the waiting list for 7 years already.
