We had a wonderful time!!
We left on Friday instead of Saturday as they were cancelling our flight for Saturday. After a little bit of trouble with the towncar (you can read the story on the transportation board) we arrived at ASMovies for the added night. It was nice.
We went shopping at DTD and when we came back there were massive amounts of people in the food court with coolers. I asked someone why and they said they announced to get your food and stuff now because they were closing all day Saturday until further notice.
We were transported to the Poly on Saturday morning real early 6am as they weren't sure what the weather would be like. It was a different world there. They had everything open even the pools. Characters entertaining the kids. Acrobats from Animal Kingdom, musicians. It was fun, the kids loved it.
Saturday night they put on our voice mails to buy boxed meals for dinner, breakfast and lunch as they were closing that evening. We were basically secluded in our room until Sunday evening and they reopened the restaurants.
We were in Tokelau building room 3912. We had garden view but could actually look out to the lagoon. If it weren't for one palm tree we would have had a view of the castle but it was okay you could go down one door and there was an observation patio to see the castle.
Once the storm passed, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT were open on Monday. They gave us comp tickets for saturday and sunday being closed.
We had a fabulous time and although I want to stay at all different resorts I think I have fallen in love with the place and will be hard pressed to stay anywhere else.
As a matter of fact, we are going back in December!! My ex-husband is taking the kids and myself for christmas present! He wouldn't go in the summer because it is too hot. He told me yesterday to make whatever arrangements necessary to stay at the Poly again!! I tell you we get along better divorced than we ever did married, but that's another story. Ha!
So now it's planning time again. I hope we can get in some of those discounted rooms!
