Well, we are back home after another GREAT stay at the Poly!!

We were in Fiji Room #3314 ..... marina side. While the view was wonderful it wasn't the quietest place to be. So going to bed early, sleeping in late, or napping really wasn't an option.

The CMs at the Poly (and everywhere else in the "World") were wonderful! I'd read lots of reports before we left about CMs being unfriendly and/or unhelpful but this was not the case during our stay.

We attended MNSSHP party twice - on Sunday (24) and Tuesday (26) and the crowd level at the Tuesday party was much lower.

Overall the crowds were larger than our previous visits. Sections of World Showcase would be so mobbed at times it was hard to move around.

The weather was absolutely perfect! We only had about 5 minutes of rain on Thursday.

DD, who used to be scared of the drop in PoC, tried Test Track and Tower of Terror! Riding each several times! I was able to do TT but left ToT for DH & DD!

Well, off to unpack and tackle the laundry. I will write a trip report as soon as I can!

We had a great trip and we were sad to head home ..... but on the flight home we already started the plan the trip for next year!

Sounds like a great trip Debbie. We were at the Polynesian from 10/20 to 10/25...so hi neighbor!

Have you been in Fiji before? We have never stayed in that building.

Welcome home and glad you had a great time! Can't wait to read your trip report -- As you can see, we're off to the Poly. in March '05. Last/only time I was at the Poly. was as a kid with my folks 30 years ago!

Yes, we stayed in Fiji in 2001 and 2003 - both times on the garden side - with views of a small beach, the Wedding Pavilion, Luau Cove, the monorail. When we checked in the CM said she had a great room for us but the people that were occupying it asked for a 1pm check-out and we could either wait for the room or she could give us another room. I asked where the room was and she showed me on the map. I always thought staying on the marina side would be nice so we waited for the room (had lunch @ Kona Cafe and did some shopping).

We were on the 3rd floor and the view really was great (GCH-I could see the flames from the fire pit at 'OHana from my bed!, volcano pool, lagoon, Contemporary). But, the noise really travels over the water and you hear everything - people talking & laughing, kids screaming, the Polynesian music (which is nice but not when you are trying to sleep), and the boat engines were very noisy. I still like the location of Fiji but I wouldn't stay on the marina side again (which is considered a GV room by the way).

I forgot to ask you what day(s) was World Showcase so busy. Do you think it was due to the F&W festival? We didn't spend much time at EPCOT this trip but didn't run into crowds the little we were there. Did you do EE days?

We always spend alot of time at EPCOT whenever we go to WDW. Let's see, this year we were in EPCOT .....

Saturday (10/23) afternoon
Monday (10/25) all day
Wednesday (10/27) for dinner @ Germany
Thursday (10/28) for dinner @ Italy
Friday (10/29) from about noon until after dinner @ Japan

Friday was the only day that we thought WS was not crowded. I remember looking at my watch at 5pm and wondering where all the people were. I would have thought a Friday evening during the F&WF would be mobbed.

We've been to EPCOT during the F&WF before but this year seemed busier to us.
