I just wanted to share our experience at PBH. We stayed two nights, August 11 and 12 at the Florida Resident rate. Our friends were only staying one night, August 11 and we requested connecting rooms.
When we arrived Saturday morning around 9am they stated that our room was not yet available. I had my nephew added to our reservation (he goes to UCF and wanted to hang with us) and asked if they were able to give us connecting rooms with our friends. The lady went into the back and came out with good news and bad news. The bad news - the rooms still aren't ready. The good news - we were updated to DELUXE!!! I was so surprised. What a nice little gift.
We left our luggage at the hotel, got our pictures taken for our express passes and hopped on the boat to the Studios. Around 2pm I received a voicemail that our room was ready.
The room was huge and had a sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was tiny, but perfect for my boys. Not so much for a college aged boy, LOL. The bathroom was a trip and the kids loved the window over the tub which looked into the room. A little strange, but it made life interesting for the two nights. My friends were very happy with their upgrade as well, even though they got a chair instead of the sofa bed. I'm assuming we got the bed because we had 5 in our room and they only had 3. No biggie.
The second night we had some crazy people next door with a toddler who started screaming around 4:30am. That was so annoying. We called down to the front desk and complained. Still lost over an hour's sleep. But I can't blame the hotel for that, just the idiots next door.
All in all it was a great experience and confirms that this is my favorite of the three onsite hotels.

That's some great news!
I sure can have some wishful thinking.
Loved all that extra space.
......so those shutters are pretty good stink blockers, huh??
Well, since it worked for at least three famliies here on the DIS who are willing to testify..., it should work for my family too! Glad to hear the room should continue to smell like roses(or sweaty exhaustion) even when the bathroom is being bombarded from the depth of smells that only park food can produce
