Just got back from our 4/2 cruise.

I didn't manage to make it to the Dis meet. There was a really bad accident on the interestate going to the port and we were rerouted around it. The road was completely closed for quite some time. We ended up arriving at the ship later than I wanted to but we did make it! I understand that it was part of the reason that the ship was late leaving Saturday night - they were waiting on luggage and passengers.

My DH won $240 at bingo early on and then my DS8 won $178 (he was really excited). My DH even bribed Cas with chicken tenders in the hopes of winning another round but it didn't work. :teeth:

BTW - there is a new "Bingo Queen" - Cas from England.

Did anyone hear anything about the 35+ passengers that met the ship at either St. Martin or St. Thomas because of a delayed flight? I guess Disney flew them down since they didn't make it in time to depart with us from the port.

We did the "under two flags" tour on St. Martin and left 3 of the bus passengers behind in Marigot because they didn't return in time....I hope they made it back to the ship.... I also managed to make a little $$$ at one of the St. Martin casinos but it didn't make much of a dent in what we charged on our KTTW card... :earseek:

Hi all,
We had the same problem with the kids and pushing elevator buttons and opening the stateroom door. After 2 days we assigned each child their own day. On their day, only they could push all buttons and open doors. It really worked well!!

From what I heard it was a flight delay from Northwest airlines, so those involved were put up at the Poly until being flown to meet the ship in St, Martin, the first port after embarkation. How any costs were handled I have no idea in terms of refunds, credits, or any of that, and I am not expressing any opinion on that issue. I was at Guest services on St. Martin afternoon and saw one such passenger checking in, having the appropriate pages of his doc's taken out and reviewed and only overheard "I am part of the group that joined the cruise here in St. Martin" when he got to the desk.

I'm from trumbull, too! I saw your post above where you sheepishly admitted your past . . The only thing I remember about Trumbull dining is the Huntington inn, and even there, I only remember the beer. When did you live there?
