Hi Ladies!

I just wanted to let some of you know I just got back from my planning session. Me, DF, my Mom and Dad left on SWA ($100 r/t) Thursday morning and arrived in Disney at noon and took the magical express to the All Star Music ($79a night). We out that night around Disney downtown.

Friday morning got up at about 7AM - rolled my hair - did my makeup (Fake lashed ) everything to a "t" b/c I was going to have my engagement shoot that evening and didn't know how timing would work out w/ buses and planning session.

Arrived at Frank's Studio to meet Marion my planner and was also greeted by her intern Jessica (sweet girl). We sat at a round table and started going through things step by step. Half way through a lady came over and brought the cake and filling.

We tried the cake & fillings and had a great time joking about each one. Marion I think thought my DF was CRAZY! Haha.. he just seems to crack a lot of jokes. Then after the cake was gone and we were finished- we made our cake decision. More talking someone.. then when I almost thought everything was over (2 hours into) another lady arrived and Marion left.

Laura my florist. We spent another 30mins talking about that stuff and then she left and Marion came back and we finished everything about 12PM. (3 hour planning session). We were to be back at 2 20PM for our Menu Tasting.

Marcos (DF) & I rushed back to the hotel packed bags w/ our formal engagement clothes and dressed into our casual engagement clothes. Touched up makeup and back out the door to catch the bus/ monorail back to the GF. Arrived just in time for the Menu Tasting.

We followed Marion to through the back of the GF hallways down into a kitchen. My heart racing as I felt anxious, excited and not knowing what to expect being in a kitchen. WoW!! Speechless.. A head table decked out in linens and napkins and everything - 4 bar chairs (mom dad, me and df) and place setting and 2 chefs.

I took a seat next to Marion who was at the head of the table and df, mom and dad followed. The chef began talking we began to listen. Wow, I was amazed how many girls get this royal treatment for a wedding. Right in front of the stove/oven ect with two chefs preparing foods for us for our wedding day. A memory I will cherish for ever. It was spectacular we had an awesome time full of laughs and great food. It ended at 4PM and we had an hour and 15 mins before our engagement shoot.

We sat in the lobby of the GF and watched another beautiful Disney Bride take photos by Disney Photographers and I walked out and watched them wisk her away in the cinderella coach. (Me in 8 months or and less...) Went to the bathroom refreshened up about 5PM and then Misty arrived.

She was full of spunk and we hit it right off. Not only did us to girls but her husband asks my DF where he is from and he replies, Brazil and the husband responds in Portuguese!! He too is from brazil. We discuss packages and all the questions marion wanted me to ask her. We began the shoot about 5:30.

At 8:30 we were finished with our engagement shoot w/ Misty. I loved her.. she spent so much time with us perfecting everything. I like working w/ a girl b/c being a girl Iknow that girls know what girls like to see in photos. I am so eager for her to put the pics up to share. I will also put some pics up from this planning sesssion ( marion, jessica, chefs, kitchen, franks ect.) Or PM me.

Everything was pefect. All my questions were answered and I learned alot. Irritated w/ maybe two things but good points were made from both. I understand now why people say planning sessions are so great. I am at such a great ease about everything now and I know my parents are too.

I am glad to hear your planning session went so well! That sounds like such a fun (although busy) day! I cannot wait to go for mine... ok I especially can't wait to try the cakes ;)

Thank you for posting on your experience. I always wondered how those things go, and the order of the day. I am so excited now for my planning session, especially the food tasting! Make sure to put up your pics when you get them, I'm sure they look great! :thumbsup2

So glad to hear everything went well...I know you were stressing there for a while. I also had my planning session yesterday (Monday) and met with our planner Michelle and also Laura from the floral department. She is very nice isn't she? She really tries to get an understanding of what you are looking for and picks up on your taste pretty quickly I think. So, what kind of cake did you decide on.....we really loved the almond cake with the amaretto filling and we also liked the marble cake with the tropical filling....so we are getting both. Haven't picked out the style of cake yet, but will soon. Email me and let me know all the details or I will chat with you if I ever catch you online. :wave2:

Hey Girl! So excited to hear from you. I just noticed this post. :) I hope to speak with you soon on AIM. Take care -
