Just got back from London Zoo...

I just had a day out at London Zoo as it's DS 5th birthday today but gosh was it hot walking around and half of it seems closed for refurb, they are building a giant enclosure for the monkeys and gorillas so they weren't out and the small mammals area was closed too for refurb. On a brighter note, they have a very cool butterfly area with them flying all around you and they have done up some of the walkways, glass and signage. Wish it had all been open though. why couldn't they have done it after summer holidays? Especially since it cost so much. A family of 4 is now £47 on a saver ticket!! A nice day all the same. now we have family coming round for bbq, so I'm off to start preparing. I need a nap...

Yeah, its a shame there doing all the refurb during the summer holidays, it would make more sense during a non-peak time. Glad you had a good day overall, enjoy that BBQ!
