Although i'm not particularly accident prone I've had my neck in a brace 9 times in the last 10 years and I've done a similar thing with the stairs twice now (you'd think I would have learnt after the first time) but the second time was worse as my left foot was 2 stairs up behind me while the rest of me was at the bottom (this was the one and only time I've been able to do the splits since I was 12, only this time it wasn't by choice)
You shouldn't be at work at all and they shouldn't let you either but try to relax and I hope you get better soon
I did manage to get a lift into work just for a few hours as I had a very important meeting to attend, although how constuctive and how serious anyone else attending the meeting, whilst the blonde lady at the end, with her leg elivated up on the board room table with a blue fluffy slipper perched on top, talking about the pros and cons of stock allocation took it, I have yet to hear back on
Im taking it really easy this weekend, and doing pretty much nothing, Im still taking the pain killers and Im totally exhausted.
Hope the foot gets better soon. DH can sympathize with you he did the same thing at my mom's last year he was carrying a basket of washing down stairs and missed the bottom step. His foot went underneath him and he ended up in a heap on the floor not able to get up. He has never forgiven me though because in his words i was more worried about picking my clean washing up off the floor than him
