I agree, I am very popular.............

baseball? I sucked for Wright State for 4 years. Best 4 years of my life.

Where did ya play?

I too had a shot at going pro. All I needed was more ability........

I played at Siena College. It is more known for basketball but is a division one school. I had a severe shoulder injury that ended my playing days. I shattered it in a skiing accident. My back up at second base went on to be drafted by the Dodgers organization. Oh well, things happen for a reason and I'm happy where I'm sitting now. I miss it, though. Loved every minute of it.

Are you sure it flew over the OP's head?

I asked the question as to "Why?" The OP was bringing forward a positive post on a DVC that we are all very much aware THAT YOU DON'T LIKE.
Your sarcastic remarks were at the least uncalled for and rude. All being to the fact that someone doesnt share your loathing for the resort and your singular wit.

Can we move on....

Can we move on....

But first let's kick him in the Nu.........errrrrrrrrrrr the leg.........

This behavior is the reason I don't come here anymore. It's one thing to let DVC know your opinion of it's newest resort but to take shots at other people's experience is really rude. After all it is YOUR opinion. There is a time and a place for everything. Vent to DVC and start your own topic. I'm happy for the OP enjoyment of their visit to SSR. Some people just like to knock others down a notch so they can feel better. I don't want to lower myself to his level but the story about "almost" going pro explains ALOT. I've seen it myself in a close relative who played in the minors but never got his "big break" and he really never got over it and now has to vent his bitterness or perceived failure on everyone else by being the biggest party pooper. This is EXACTLY how he acts...I thought this right away and then when I read the stories about captain of this team and that I just laughed because this is exactly the way my relative would respond.

right there with you sister :) i agree too that people have a right to an opinion, but there was nooooo reason for ANYONE to be rude to the OP or slam her post. like someone else said - they wanted to rain on her parade. (jealous much?) she was genuinely happy and "certain" people comb threads for that and then get on their soapbox. we've all heard it enough, i personally am bored of the anti-SSR posts. it's tired, it's old, it's immature. and i also don't need to hear any bashing of the others. i don't recall the OP asking about anything - but she still got a bunch of useless opinions from bitter people when there was NO NEED for it in this thread. i love your story about your relative - there are lots of those. "if only i had caught that 53 yard pass, if only i had make that 42 yard kick, blah blah blah blah blah". maybe there needs to be a forum just for miserable people to complain all the time and one named "DVC resort bashing". maybe that will keep them away from the rest of us to have to scroll past... :wave2:

 SSR ROCKS :cheer2: SSR ROCKS  SSR ROCKS :Pinkbounc SSR ROCKS :cool1: SSR ROCKS :bounce: SSR ROCKS :woohoo:

I believe the Other people he was making reference to are the LITTLE people speaking to him inside his head :lmao: :lmao: . Susan

To me all the DVC resorts that I have been to are great.

At least that means there is "SOMETHING" besides hatred and pent up anger for his by gone days in his head....I was beginning to wonder.

You know, a lot of what's been going on with these boards (especially re: SSR) reminds me of the guy who nearly took me out to get into a parking space, but then charmingly held the door open for me and the kiddos when I saw him a little later going into the same store (I got a good look at him when I was in my car, but he didn't see me). Anonymity shouldn't be an excuse to behave badly and "let it all hang out."

Perhaps it would help some individuals on this board if they pictured us sitting in someone's living room, having a nice chat. Then imagine how certain comments might come across if you actually said them out loud, face-to-face, to this room full of people.

Finally, I don't think that most of us here only want to hear good things about DVC and Disney. However, there comes a point when one needs to take a step back and remember that we're talking about hotels here, and that many of the "problems" we're discussing are so trivial that I would be ashamed if anyone with real problems were to read some of these threads.

Glad you enjoyed it. What section were you in, the one out near Tampa? Keep on posting those great SSR comments. Frees up room at other resorts. I'm coming for those 7 month ressies, don't worry SSR you are safe. :thumbsup2 How did you like the poolside food? Did you order room service? How was it staying on site? Must have been plenty of seats around the pool? Any trouble getting a seat at the bar? How were those native northeast plantings looking?

You must be a very interesting person-hope we never meet. I guess you just like to put other people down to feel...? :clown:  :clown: Could you post a photo of yourself so we know who you are if we see you? :confused3 :stir:

These posters do not have the magic they need a little pixie dust.

He owns SSR, and wishes that WDW would make SSR a world class resort like DVC owners expect.

Thanks for the great review! We look forward to staying there in October!

Don't worry about the negative posters. Some people just like to make others feel bad. Sad.

the ones who feel sad are not the ssr owners.

ssr owners get EGG-ZACT-LEE what they bought, and in some cases more.

wouldn't it be great if WDW had just gone over the top with SSR and built a resort that was so far out of this world that SSR owners were being asked to transfer and rent pts to non ssr owners?

Wouldn't it be great if BCV or BWV owners were calling SSR at 6 mths 25 days and being told there was a wait list, because the resort was the most in demand. Wouldn't it be great if you not only got 12 more years, but you got the BEST resort to date?

I hope WDW and DVC makes that happen........

OP, glad you enjoyed SSR. I really liked it when we stayed there in January. Can't wait to go back tomorrow!

Yay!! My family just joined the DVC, and my dad made reservations for October. I really hope we can go then, I'm really excited to see it!! :teeth: :Pinkbounc

LEXXIFERN

Have a GREAT and MAGICAL time at SSR and HH-I am looking forward to hearing your trip report! Because of all of the hubub lately are you going to scout out the changes at SSR for us?? Like-how cold/warm is the pool...new construction updates...signs/reports of a new themed pool...We could put you on retainer since it is your vacation. An extra sprinkling of pixiedust: maybe? LOL. Best wishes!
