Just got back from Disney, and got to ride Mission Space!

The trip was great!! We started at Universal Studios, then Disney, then Vero Beach. Universal had awesome thrill rides! Spiderman was sooo cool. When we were in Epcot, we walked by Mission: Space, and they were letting about 60 people in, and we got in!! they had some technical difficulties, so we waited about an hour and a half. It was pretty cool, but it doesn't deserve all the Hype it's getting. It's really pretty simple, and the only interaction you get is when a button in front of you flashes, and you have to push it. It's also not nearly as intense as they make it out to be, but oh well. The rest of Disney was great, as usual.

Oh, that's kinda good to know. I was afraid I couldn't handle that ride. Now what about that Shrek? Talk about over-hyped

I read that Mission Space was rather intense. I was worried I wouldn't be able to handle it!

I guess I'll just have to judge for myself!

I didn't get to do Shrek. We were there about 5 days before it opened and it was "Invitation Only". So that was over-hyped too?

I've heard very little about Shrek compared to Mission Space. Is it being hyped up too?

Very often I think it's the HYPE that ruins the first experience. I know the first time I went on Test Track I didn't care for it at all. Same with Alien Encounter. Now, I love them. I'll try to keep my expectations down & not read too much about it. Thanks for your input, tho.

My opinion is that Mission Space lives up to the hype. We were fortunate to ride it yesterday. We only had to wait in line for 30 minutes. I didn't mind standing in the queue. I found it quite interesting. And I thought that the ride was awesome. I felt even more g-force than I experienced earlier this year when I rode Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster. I wish that the ride were open now. I would use all my fast passes there.

I LOVED Shrek! I hadn't heard anything about it before we went on it except that it just opened and was 4-D. I assumed it would be just like another Muppets or something but I really liked it! The seats were comfy! and it was fun picking out all the making-fun-of-disney references
