Got back last night and stayed at CS for a week. We stayed there again this past week and I have to say it is a beautiful resort and we really loved it...but the food at the Pepper Market is such a horrible disappointment! I'm sorry to have a negative opinion of it and wanted to give it another chance but I just can't see how Disney can let this go on! How can the food at the Maya Grill taste so good and the Pepper Market just be so awful!

AGREE, AGREE, AGREE.

We stayed there last year and it was so overpriced I was discussed. We had figured two mornings to have breakfast at the peppermarket that I immediately booked adrs that afternoon. You get such a better meal at the Riverside foodcourt I almost wanted to transfer.

The resort was beautiful. I wish we could have enjoyed the pool, but it was in December and it was too cold.

Glad you liked CSR. With respect to PM, seems to me it's a food court(i.e. comparable to the one at the mall). Sure it's expensive, food is a high dollar item at WDW (i.e., like the airport). I'm not saying it's "all that", I'm just saying adjust your expectations.:earsboy:

Glad you had a nice stay at CSR. I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the Pepper Market. I really liked the food I ate there in September.

I think it also differs for what you order. There are so many choices- one bad meal choice, could be offset for another meal choice that one likes. Presentation makes a big impact as well!

I really did like the Maya Grill as well- I feel it is one of the underrated restaurants. We ate one day at Sci Fi that I read raves about and did not care for it all. Same sort of comparison...

Glad to hear you enjoyed the resort! Isnt it peaceful, I really liked returning to the resort for the quietness.

We haven't been there in a few years, but we loved the pepper market, maybe it's changed. Glad you enjoyed your trip otherwise :)

I never had any problems at a mall food court, have no problems at the Port Orleans food courts. Price didn't matter to me since I had purchased the dining plan this trip.

Tried to get the chinese stir fry and it always looked dried out, got a burger and had to practically pour the whole ketchup bottle on it to get a little bit of taste out of it. I don't believe I need to adjust my expectations since my WDW food court expectations aren't high, they are at a normal level.
At many food courts you have a safe meal such as chicken strips and fries, nope not at PM.
This is my opinion and I think it's a pretty fair review, since I usually walked around the food court about 3 times searching for something good I gave it a good shot. I ended up with penne twice, I guess it was just decent.
Sadly, I will probably not go back to this beautiful resort and just go back to French Quarter next time (another favorite of mine).
Other than the food court I really like CS, it's very peaceful and pretty and the cast members were always very nice to us.

Glad you liked your trip and the CSR. Sorry you didn't like the Pepper Market; we didn't like it the first trip we spent there, but enjoyed it this past September. We didn't try POR's food court, but did not like the Caribbean's at all.

I agree with you. The CS is a beautiful resort, but I found the PM sorely lacking. I have never ate food so bland in all my life. I think they secretly slipped all the food through a flavor removing machine before serving it.
