We just returned from a five day trip staying at the Boardwalk Villas. This was our first time there and we were very pleased. We checked in on Sun around 9:00 am. The CM at the Villas were very helpful and always cheerful. Our room was ready  so we dropped off our bags the headed straight to Animal Kingdom. First about our room. I was worried about some of the previous posts about the long walk to the elevators and the general upkeep of the room. We stayed in room 5062 just a few rooms away from the elevators and the room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the sofabed for the kids had no complaints.

Animal Kingdom was beginning to fill up as we arrived and we quickly got fast passes for Everest and Kali Rapids. We enjoyed the day and left around 2:30 and headed back to the pool. One note the slide at BW was uncomfortable on the backside. The kids loved it and spent the rest of the day splashing around.

Here's a quick overview of the restaurants that we dined in. Yes, we used the Disney Dining Plan and I HIGHLY recommend it :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Counter service at Boardwalk Pizza: One slice (very small), soda and a brownie. Not the best pizza and not worth a Quick Service point
Kona Cafe: Wonderful dinner! Hubby and I had the Mahi Mahi :thumbsup2
Daughter princess: had scallops and shrimp. Son pirate: had chicken fingers A definite must do!
Counter service next to Small World? Good sandwiches! Hubby and I had the turkey pannini princess: pizza pirate: chicken
LeCellier: Wow! Great Food and Great Service! Again hubby and I order the same, mushroom fillet princess: fillet pirate: pasta A must do :thumbsup2
Counter service Pizza planet Just okay
Counter service The Land Seasons Just average
Counter Service in Germany bad hot dogs good desserts
Les Chef de France: Again top notch and a great waiter Anthony!
We had the half chicken mac and cheese and pasta for the pirate: Great Meal!
Counter Service Casey: As always great hot dogs and love watching the cartoons.
California Grill: BEST meal of the week. Beef filet and the warm chocolate cake is to die for! That meal alone for the four of us with NO alcohol was over $250.00 so the plan work very well.

The weather was hot but not unbearable. It's been brutal in the northeast all summer so Florida was a relief! The crowds were not bad and I DO NOT recommend going to the early morning hour park. We had no or little wait at the non early parks for several hours each morning.

All in all a great trip and a big thumbs up for the Boardwalk and their staff :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 and also three cheers for the dining plan :dance3:

Nice to hear some feedback on the slide at the BW. The big slide at Stormalong bay at the YC/BC is pretty cool and I was thinking maybe next time to stay at the BW (the Epcot resorts are just a great location, aren't they?)

Thank you for posting your review on the BWV and your trip - we are going for our second visit to BWV in October (Oct 27-Nov 1) and are so excited to go back! My kids don't want to stay anywhere else - my youngest 2 didn't go last trip so hope they enjoy the pool since the older ones didn't even take advantage of the pool. (They spent alot of time on the boats).

Can I ask you if you rented points from a DVC owner for your stay or did you use a package? Our first trip I paid rack rates (ouch) but this time we are renting points so curious what difference it makes.

We used our own points for this trip. I'm sorry that I can't help you with renting info. I would think renting points would be more economical than paying rack rates (big time ouch!) Have a great time when you go!

sounds like a fanastic time with great food.......I am anxiously waiting for another trip to the mouse in December......thanks again
