I loved the new feel. They have definitely broken out of the cookie cutter mold with these rooms. For a 2 br they feature 3 full bathrooms. If you are ready for something new definitely give these rooms a try.

What I didn't love was the jacuzzi tub. I would have gladly given up the third bathroom for a larger tub. This tub is the narrowest I have seen... it is basically a long bath tub. I have a real jacuzzi tub at home and the one in this room was not a real jacuzzi. If you carry a few extra pounds Disney does not care if you are comfortable apparently so stick to the showers.

This was also our first trip with an owners locker. It felt weird because I kept thinking we weren't packing enough but the stay was definitely enhanced. Unfortunately we managed to fill it up on our initial run so unless we can justify a second box most of of our second and third priority items will be left out.

We can hear the spa tub above us when it is being run. Not my favorite place, just happy they aren't using the tub after 11pm.

Welcome to the DIS, BeesKnees.

Good to hear you enjoyed BLT. Bummer that the tub was a disappointment, considering the size of the bathrooms I think they could have chosen a wider one.

Your first trip with an OL and you are already considering another one, whoa, they must be pretty good.

Hi BeesKnees,
Welcome to the Disboards. Thank you very much for sharing about your trip. I am glad to hear that you liked BLT. I will be staying there in a few weeks and am really looking forward to it. :thumbsup2

Hi BeesKnees & Welcome!!!

I love your user name. I have a friend who says "it's the bees knees" all of the time and it cracks me up! :goodvibes

So glad you enjoyed your trip. BLT is a beautiful resort.

I had to laugh about your owner's locker experience though. We had one for our first stay also. I had mailed some things down previously to help stock it and we were golden! :thumbsup2 Well, it was unusually cold when we went, record freezing temps, so we bought some super comfy robes at SSR. All is good and right in the world. :cloud9: Then it comes time to pack. Everything that we needed to fit in the locker fit like a charm...with the exception of you guessed it, those wonderful robes! :rolleyes1 So we end up calling them and Brian literally assembles a locker especially for us and brings it to us so that we can pack them up! Yes, he rocks! Funny, because one of the things we look forward to now, especially when it is cold, is wearing those robes. :goodvibes

Simply put the locker takes you to the next level of being at home away from home. You don't have to compromise as much just because you are flying and you need to pack light. Why drink nasty pre-ground coffee when you can have a coffee grinder? Why live on travel size items that you always have too much or not enough of? Why use those small towels if you really like big towels?

We stuffed around 50 unique items into our locker. Some to enhance our trip and some as precautionary like medications, first aid kit, ace bandage, and a hot water bottle.

The best items have multiple purposes like:

We froze the hot water bottle and used it as an ice pack for a picnic we took.

We have 8 clothes pins in our locker. They can be used for laundry or to keep a bag of chips or a box of cereal fresh.

I fedexed myself a box and also placed an order with garden grocer to get most of the toiletries we wanted. The first thing we did was to actually pack the locker to see how much more room we had to work with because we had some "buy at disney" items. It worked out great.

I have clothespins in my OL, too, along with chip clips. I have no idea why I never considered dual use  I'm another one who added a second OL on my first trip, and I'm a solo traveler 99% of the time :rotfl: The second locker has laundry & kitchen stuff that my kids & grandkids use when they're in a 1 or 2BR. The original one if for my studio stays.

lol at clothes pins and chip clips

I travel so much that being resouceful is second nature. I can't tell you how many trash can coolers I have made over the years. Pre-DVC I made one at Disney during hurricane Floyd.
