Just got back from BCV

Just got back last night from 5 nights in a BCV studio. Everything went great. All I asked for was nonsmoking and we got a great third floor room looking toward EPCOT only a few doors from the elevator. Everything in the room was in working order and clean. Yes, the sofa and coffee table looked "shabby" but we have stayed in condos in many popular places and BCV holds up well considering the high volume of use mostly with families and small children. It was in much better condition than our OKW room last fall. But that doesn't mean I have judged OKW on one room or one stay either! So don't get irritated when I say that! All in all it was a great trip: manageable crowds, great weather, fun MNSSHP and my kids finally rode RRC and ToT, too! Now I'm even more excited about our 7 nights at BCV and 3 nights at VB in March!

do you get to see Illiuinations from your room?

I could see the fireworks, but not high enough to see anything else. Loved seeing the Eiffel Tower lit up every night though!

I don't think you can see the stuff in the lake from any room except maybe a glimpse between trees. It is nice though to be able to sit there and see the kids get excited every night when they are tired and worn out and you dont want to take them to the park but just sit in the room and watch. Then leave the curtain open and have that purple glow from Spaceship Earth coming in. When we stayed last year, we were in the last room on the top floor all the way down by the parking lot closest to SE and had a great view of Illuminations, but sadly, thats when they were redoing the Eiffel Tower and had it removed so we didn't get to see it lit up.

We had room #327. I wonder if the hurricane "thinned out" the foliage so that we could see the Eiffel Tower so well.
