Hi everyone,
I have just got back from 2 great weeks in the BCV's and I want to go back!! Does anyone have any questions about the BC, YC or BCV's?
One thing I thought some people would like to know is about the scaffolding at the BC. Yesterday there was a lot of it. More went up each day practically. As you go into the BC from the lake area scaffolding and sheets are up above the enterence and all along the left and right of the walls of that section. A few days ago they also put more up around the front and other sides of the whole of the section of the building on your right as you go in. Sometimes when you walked past you could smell the paint. I didn't have a problem with it as we were in the villas and I guess they have to do the work sometimes but I wouldn't have been happy with a room near there.

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time.

What villa did you stay in? What was the view like? Did you make any kind of room request?

Thank you!

We'll be there over Thanksgiving in a studio. Did you go to the convenience store at the resort or at the Boardwalk? I'm interested to know what sort of items were there and just how overpriced they were. Also, are there any "special/free" activities for kids that are similar to the ladybug release or the arts and crafts at WL?

We were in villa 268 a dedicated 2 bedroomed unit. We requested a non smoking room overlooking the pool with a large balcony and we got a 3 requests. The balcony stretched the whole unit which was nice. It overlooked the quiet pool and the canal so we could see the turtles and aligator every morning.
We got a few things from the store in the beach club, just milk, cereal, orange juice and muffins. They were quite expensive though and next time I would make sure we stocked up at a supermarket instead.
I'm not sure about kids activities, sorry. We didn't have any kids with us.
The walk to SAB took about 3-4 minutes. It was a nice walk through the lobby of the Beach club and then out the back of the hotel. They were re-painting some of the bridges whilst we were there but it wasn't an inconvenience as they only blocked one off at a time.

How did you make your requests known? Did you send a fax in prior to your trip? Did the second bedroom have two queens or a sleeper sofa?

My friend booked the holiday as he is a DVC member and he made his requests when we booked through the DVC. We did not send a fax or anything after that. The second room had one queen bed and a pull out sofa bed. We were in the second room and found it to be very spacious. As it was a dedicated room the second room has a double vanity area outside of the bathroom and had 2 wardrobes so had plenty of hanging space. There were 4 adults using the villa so we did not use the sofa bed but the room was excellent.
