I flew out to Phoenix, where my mom lives, on Thursday to surprise her with a mom/daughter trip to Disneyland. We drove out to Anaheim on Friday and returned on Sunday. Quick trip but it was worth it. We didn't have a hotel reservation either, but were able to get a room at the Hilton Garden Inn on Harbor Blvd for a decent rate. The parks were very crowded, I thought. We were still able to ride several rides. On Saturday we rode, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Winnie the Pooh, Haunted Mansion, Riverboat(we got to drive the boat!!), Train and Monorail. We arrived around 8am and left at 12noon, it was getting really hot and really crowded. We went back to DCA in the evening and rode Soarin with a fast pass and then watch the Electrical Parade, then rode Monsters and Muppets before heading back over to DL, I wanted to ride Space but the line was way too long, I thought they would have a single rider line but no such luck, so we headed back to the hotel. On Sunday we rode, Snow White, Dumbo, Storybook boats, Teacups, Matterhorn and watched the 1st 50 years before heading back to Phoenix. My mom was so surprised and we had a great time. We found a great german restaurant off of Ball Road if anyone is interested. My mom is from Germany and we found it to be very authentic.
