I will try to keep this short. We got to the HRH on Sunday 14 for a wks stay. We bought tickets over the internet for universal & ioa for 5 days.
First impression of hotel was not to good. We pulled up at 1:30 on sunday and waited and started unloading our stuff and then after it was all unloaded a guy finally came over and put in on a cart- I went in to ck in and waited in the line(i was the only one there) and I went over to a lady and she said wait in the line over there and I did. I waited long enough for my husband to park the car and take the tv down & push the stroller up to the ck in. He went over to the same lady and she helped him right away!! The hotel was nice, we went to the room and it was also nice and the beds were AWSOME!!!! Everyone on the boards said to get a room by the elevator and we forgot, we go one down at the end of the hall, to me it wasent as long as a walk as I heard about on the board(6080). It was a great location. Last year we stayed at the royal pacific and we stayed like in the middle and the last 2 nights we stayed we would hear" hey bill what time u gettin up in the morn etc...) and this was at 1 and 2 am. And we would hear kids running up and down the halls at all hrs of the night. But since we had the last room, we didnt hear anything. The toliet in the room was weird, u had to told the handle down longer then normal, but it work. I would not recommend saying close to the ice machines, they are to the left off of every floor from the elevator and they ARE LOUD. THe 6th floor, were we stayed, was out of ice usually by 5 so you had to go to floor 5 or 4 for ice. I would not recommend staying on the 2nd floor cause it has an odor. The laundry is on 2 & 4 and when I went on 2 to do laundry it had an odd odor when u get off the elevator. Oh, just a little helpful reminder, when u do laundry at the hotel, please DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CLOTHS IN THE WASHER AND DRYER AND LEAVE!!! Yes, people do that. A lady or man had BOTH washers on level 4 and the cloths had been in there for well over an hr close to 2 and finally a lady i met took them out. And on the 4th floor a lady or man had BOTH dryers. I finally got tired of waiting and went to 2nd floor and used a washer and while i was there i met a lady that went to the 4th floor and took our the stuff that was LEFT in the washer and put them on the counter, she said they had been in there for atleast 2 1/2 hrs. She also took out the cloths from the dryer and folded them up and placed them on the counter. There are ONLY 4 WASHER AND 4 DRYER so please respect others and read the timer and come back and finish your laundry. Both the washer and dryer tells u how long it will take. I will write somemore tommorrow!!
