Just got back from Disney, stayed at Pop. Here are my thoughts on a few places. I will post a proper dining review, but just thought i'd share some points first.

POP food court - what on earth happened to this place? It use to be good. But now, its crap! The station that use to sell lo mein noodles is completely shut down. The burger station sells weird stuff now like a spring roll in a bun. WTH is that?? Not to mention some type of bean burger. Honestly, yuck. This place has gone down hill. Awful. We only ate here twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. We ordered a pizza from Flippers another night cause i wouldnt let my son touch disney pizza. lol! Flippers pizza was very tasty.

Citrico's - What a gorgeous place. So lovely. Service was excellent. I had the cheese tray and the arancini. Both were delish. I didnt care for one of the cheeses though, but the other two were fabulous. Arancini was good. My son had the chicken, which i did try, wow, very juicy and flavourful. Potatoes were excellent as well. He enjoyed his meal, but I dont think he was over the moon. Dessert was delish. i had the warm choc banana cake thingy. Sooooo good. My son had the gelato in little cones and loved it. Overall, great place. But neither of us were wow'd by it. We both still like Cali Grill way better in terms of food and the view. But mostly the food.

Via Napoli - We loved the pizza so much last year, we had to come back. But i really felt like having pasta so thats exactly what we ordered. I had the candele pasta. OMG it was heavenly. The flavour was outstanding. I loved the little meatballs. So good. My son had the pasta with alfredo, chicken, & peas. I tried that of course, and thought it was tasty. But i liked my dish better. :goodvibes Because my son and I love to eat, in addition to our pasta, we wanted to nibble on pizza. Not that i needed to have it. But i just wanted a taste because its been a year since i've had the pizza. i figure im long over due! The lovely waiter allowed us to order the kids pizza. he did stress that its very small, which i thought was perfect cause we literally only wanted a few bites. The kids pizza was a margarita. Very tasty. Not as good as last year thou, not sure if its because this was a kids size? maybe they made it different? But also, last year i had a different pizza. This is our first time trying margarita.
For dessert we had the ricotta fritters to share. Very yummy and fresh. Loved it. Overall i highly recommend this place!

Columbia Harbor House - oh my goodness, I love this place. I had the tuna sandwich on multigrain. Omg it was amazing! I know that sounds silly cause you figure, its just a tuna sandwich. but man was it tasty! Its nice to have something light for a change. the housemade chips were yummy, but i should have had something lighter to go along with it, such as carrot sticks, apples, or grapes.

Splitsville - on a whim decided to eat here. Honestly, i doubt i'd be back. It was ok. But nothing special. I had the chicken sandwich with avocado and chipotle something or the other. I cant remember. It was decent. My son said his burger was too dry. Fries were over salted.

WGPE (marketplace) - once again, this place did not disappoint. The food was phenominal. I had the meatloaf of course. so tasty! I highly recommend it. I havent had a bad meal yet! :thumbsup2

TREX- We normally go here for appetizers, my son's choice. He had the nachos. They were much better than what I remember. Fun place to eat.

Yak & Yeti CS - I had the beef lo mein noodles. SO GOOD! I absolutely loved it! The veggies were crisp, noodles were cooked perfectly, the beef was lean. Yummy! My son had the sweet & sour chicken. That looked, interesting. The chicken itself was fine, he liked it. But he hated the plain rice because they drenched it with the sweet/sour sauce. So he got chkn fried rice on the side. He enjoyed it. I was surprised to see my bill to be over $30. Expensive! All we ordered was the sweet/sour chicken, beef lo mein, fried rice, and one drink! I could have had a TS meal for what i paid here! But we had a good meal so i cant complain.

SciFi - We come here every trip. Loved it. Atmosphere is neat, cool, and quiet. And we always enjoyed the food. We both had the oreo shake. I have to say, its fabulous!! Soooo good. For my entree i ordered the picnic burger. Love the burger/hotdog combo! :thumbsup2 I dont care for sauerkraut so i asked for it on the side. My DS13 ordered the ribs. He thought it was decent, but not amazing.

I have to mention the bit of pixie dust we had at MK. We got two corn dogs for free! :cool1: Not sure why it was free, but it was. Yay! We love the corndogs.

Starbucks - I like the new Main St Bakery/Starbucks. I didnt care for the baked goods that was displayed, cause I noticed most of it was starbucks, but I like the fact that there's a coffee shop on main st! We esp loved the frappucino!

Plaza Ice Cream shop - we ordered the ice cream sandwich. Its exactly the same as the one at the old Main St bakery! Delish!

Casey's - my DS13 had nacho's, (he loves his nacho's lol). He liked them. I had a hot dog and surprisingly, I liked them! I must have been hungry! Lol.

If you have any questions, let me know.

how was the wait time to get coffee at Starbucks? Takes long enough at home and am wondering when you add WDW crowds to the equation... I have some Starbucks gift cards that I would like to use on vacation.

TIA

Totaly agree about Disney's pizza, it's awful. We have a ress for VIA napoli because my son loves pizza and iv read great reviews. We always go to Columbia harbour house for lunch in mk but not a fan of Casey's corner. This year were trying The Wave for a buffet breakfast because my son wanted a place that was NOT a character breakfast (15) . Never ordered pizza delivery and if I get desperate, I will but we're staying at POR and most people give there food court wonderful reviews.

We went in may and stayed at POR. The food court was good! I think we ate there like 4 times over our 4 day trip. We only had lunch/dinner so I have no clue how breakfast offerings are there

We're going the second week of November. We did get free dining so most of our meals are elsewhere but we will probably be eating a few breakfasts, one lunch and maybe a couple of dinners and i wanted to try the make your own pasta dish. Plus my son is a BIG fan of breadsticks with marinara sauce and I saw that they have that. He can make this into a meal, weird!!! Do they still have the small packets of hot pepper flakes? If not I'm probably going to bring some with me because my son puts it in everything.

The wait time to place your order & pay was quick. But waiting for them to make the coffee is another story. That took long, even when its only a couple of us waiting. maybe im just impatient? Lol. It all depends on who is working. Once it was literally only 4 of us waiting but it took forever. Another time there was a ton of us waiting and it went pretty quick. Strange. :confused3

Via pizza is soooooo good. we both love it!
This is the first trip that we didnt do a character breakfast. :( Kinda sad. I love them. LOL!

POR food court is very good! I absolutely love it. The make-your-own pasta is amazing! :thumbsup2

I like hot dogs at Casey's. Mustard and sauerkraut. They used to be much better but I still like them.

I'm so happy to read your Via Napoli review! I love VN, and there's been a thread recently about them going downhill, but that doesn't sound to be the case from your report.

I will say, my first trip there I had the Margherita pizza and it was good. But then last year I had the Quattro Formaggi and it was awesome! I'm pretty sure it was you who posted the pic/review of Quattro Formaggi that got me all excited for that. If so, I suspect the difference in your experience from last time to this time is the difference between QF and Margherita.

I couldn't resist their tiramisu again this year, but I really am serious about trying the Zeppole next time.

I read that report about VN going downhill. Honestly, that wasnt the case in my experience. The candele pasta is outstanding. Not sure about the other pasta's thou. But I would absolutely recommend candele to anyone! And I think your right about the QF & Margarita. My experience was better last year because of the QF being the better choice (in my opinion of course). Cause it really is an amazing pizza! Margarita was good too, but QF & Pepperoni were way better I think. :cloud9:

QF was so good, I took the leftovers with me and actually nibbled on it cold the next night.:rolleyes1

we went to pop twice...first time the food court was fantastic..you could really have your meals there and enjoy them all...but second time we went with the family...three different ones...the food was not good at all...very disappointed..this past May we went to Music..(AP discount) and the food court was pretty darn good...very pleased with it..even though we ate most of our meals elsewhere...we liked the looks of the choices..

We are going in April and havent decided on which resort...we have our air fare already..so just a matter of picking..

We loved your reviews of the restaurants...and think we will try that Via Napoli...Yak and yeti cs was really good too...I had the beef lo mein and it was packed full of beef...it was worth the money I think...and yes it was more expensive then most cs places..

thanks for your reviews...

You should give Olivia's a try one of these days and see how you like it :)

You always write fair reviews...I had the Candelle pasta a few trips back and it was excellent :)

I agree with you about the Pop food court. We were there two weeks ago and were not impressed. Although the brownie sundaes and chocolate shakes were good! We also really enjoyed the pizza at Via Napoli.

Make your own pasta us AMAZING! I got it for dinner one night and it fed me, dd2 and ds1. I know it doesn't seem like a lot to feed but my son already eats like a teenager so it was a lot! Also gave me room to enjoy dessert ;)

I don't remember those packets, but I can't stand spicy so I can honestly say I did not look for them, sorry :(

That's ok, I plan on bringing some with me anyway. I don't mind a little spicy but not like that. My kid puts hot pepper flakes in the cup of marinara sauce for his breadsticks:confused3 even though we got fd,it would not have cost me much oop because this is the one thing he could eat every day.

First TY for the reviews. I was happy to read you enjoyed Via Napoli as I plan on dinner there twice in November, once for pizza and once for pasta :)

I was surprised to read that Y&Y CS came to $30, I dropped an ADR for the TS but just thought we'd try the CS as we are paying OOP. Maybe I need to take a closer look at the CS prices at the ones I plan to eat at

I think i might write a letter of complaint to disney about the pop food court. I figure, why not? They have to hear from their people right? lol.

Its so sad to see the pop food court go downhill because it use to be so good. I just hope that when they re-open the station on the far right, that its something amazing. One can only hope!

Yes, even thou Y&Y QS was tasty, i'd look at the menu at the actual restaurant and compare prices. Cause if you can eat at the TS for about the same price, give or take, it would be worth it. The only convenience of QS is that there's no ADR. You can eat whenever you want.

That is one reason I dropped the ADR @Y&Y TS, last 2 trips we did DxDP and sometimes you feel like your just running from. ADR to ADR. This trip is more laid back with the we will get there when we get there I only have 6 ADRs :)
