We just got back and used our quick and casual vouchers. They worked great. We never had any problems and always had enough food. We also used 4 vkd vouchers at the rain forest for 6 people (4 of them were teens) and we had so much food we could not eat it all. We should of only had 3 vouchers and that would of been plenty. The waitress there was so helpful. She told us exactly what to get. Any quetions email me.

A few weeks ago, we used Q&C as well. We had no problems at all. I especially enjoyed going in and looking to order the most expensive stuff on the menu. (instead of all the cheapest)

The most value was about $30 at beaches and cream. But, we also went over $20 at Tangerine cafe in Morocco, the food court at All Star Music and The Blue Tusk(?) in Animal Kingdom.

I will say, however, that if you did order the least expensive of everything on the menu, you could come out less than what you paid for the voucher in some cases.

We always used two Q&C vouchers for four of us (two adults, 12 & 8 year old boys) and always had too much food.

Hope this helps you plan

Chris

How exactly do these vouchers work? Do you just pick anything off the menu? Do they allow you to share? I am going in October with my husband and 4yr old daughter. Most counter places have combo meals so when they say entree, side, drink and dessert.. how does that work? What kind of dessert do you get?::MinnieMo

jaross, mind if i ask what did you order at beaches and cream, Tangerine cafe in Morocco, the food court at All Star Music?

Do you have to upgrade a package to get Q&C vouchers? Or can they be purchased separately? If so, who do you contact?

Thanks. :)

Thanks!

The thread at the top of the budget page, "Everything you want to know about Connection meal vouchers" is very helpful and should answer all your who, what, when where, how questions. Hope that helps!:D

Le Ann,
Welcome Back!

I'm glad to hear that the vouchers worked out well for you. I have several VKLs and Q&Cs for our upcoming trip and I've been debating just how many I'll need for the 4 of us.

DH and I are not BIG eaters but he can certainly finish a meal, whereas I cannot. DS is just entering that manly phase of eating everything in sight every hour or so. How can someone who is 5'3" eat so much and stay so skinny? And DD is a very picky vegetarian who will spend the entire vacation eating salads, rolls and dessert.

I'm guessing that we'll use 3 vouchers each time but may alter my plans after the first meal if it looks like too much food. I can always sell the extras on the DIS Auctions when I return, right?

Tell us more about the VKD (dinner) vouchers! You are the first person to post that they used them! Do you feel they were worth the $$$?

I would like to know how you used your vouchers at RFC. Were you able to get any of the "add-ons"? I am going to try to use one voucher for the 3 of us and want to maximize the best I can.

Thanks for posting! I always like hearing how others have used the vouchers!!

isnt there a fee to join connections (like $140and)? doesnt this negate the savings? am i missing something in the process?
let me know the real deal.
thanks,
mike

When I joined connections over a yar ago, it cost me $69.95 or something like that. There was a free trial period that you could order the vouchers and then cancel within that period. But I remained a member because I thought I could get other savings. Besides buying a 4 day PHP for about $198, and many vouchers, I also bought the gift cards for various restaurants (Red Lobster, TGIFridays, etc.) and gave as gifts. For each $25 card, you get $5 back. I also bought $200 in Toys R Us cards for Christmas and $200 in Kids R Us cards for Back to School clothes. I more than made up for the cost of the membership. But I did cancel when the year was out.

This year I plan to join Hotwire Savings club before our trip in August. This one has a monthly fee, so I may cancel shortly after joining depending on what they have to offer (you can't really tell until you join.)
