Just got back, 6CS, 5TS review

My girlfriend and I just got back, Sept 15-21, we stayed POFQ, awesome mod resort, A+ for everything except for the need for a larger or more hot tubs, we met some family there early Sun morning, they live in West Palm and stayed Sat night so they stayed til later Sun and used our room to change after swimming, we did eat a lunch in Sassagoula, that we paid for which was delicious, the kids got pizza, and the adults all got the shrimp poboy, Im from metro New Orleans and these were pretty good, the shrimp looked a little weird, but were very tasty, we usually don't put remoulade sauce on poboys but it worked, after they left GF and I went to DD to look around and eat at WP express, I got the BBQ chicken pizza and she got the Cheese, we split them and were wanting more even though we were full, we took the brownies back to the hotel, the WP brownies are some of the best on property, Mon for lunch we ate at Seasons in Epcot, we both got the Mongolian Beef and rice which is always good we tried the Caramel Apple cake thing with the crumble on top it was good but we should have shared rather than wasting one, on our way to HS we went to Bongos for dinner, we had read some pretty mixed reviews on this place but it was very good and I would go again, we both got the Cuban Skirt Steak with rice and blk beans, we both substituted for the sweet plantains, the entrees were cooked perfectly, arrived in 12-15 min after ordering we shared the churro dessert it was this big plate of the hot cinnamon churros with 3 dipping sauces, condensed milk, chocolate and Strawberry, so so good almost enough for 4 people, Tuesday for lunch, we ate at Pecos Bills in MK we both got the taco salad and carrot cake, it was very good but were disappointed we wouldn't be going back there again!! For dinner we ate at Tutto Italia, my gf had the Lasagna, she gave it a 7out of 10, I had the butcher steak and this was amazing, 10/10 desserts were fair I had the rasp sorbet, she had the pistachio crème brulee, mousse? not really sure, Wed for lunch we went back to DD to go to WP express or lunch again I had the BBQ chicken Pizza she had the Margherita pizza they were out of brownies, so we got cookies, bye the time we were leaving I asked the girl in the dining room if any had come in we would like to switch our cookies out, so she went to check and brought us two fresh ones and said keep the cookies, food was great and an awesome little something extra. We went to Flying Fish for Dinner, I got the charbroiled NY Strip which is the best steak on property and she got the Cobia, she rated the dish a 5, everything was good but she didn't think it went with the pairings, plus she wanted my steak! which I did share, I had the 3 sorbet dessert she had the banana napoleon, both were very good. Thursday for lunch we ate at Flame Tree BBQ in AK I had the chicken/ribs combo, she had the BBQ salad we had each mousse the choc and key lime everything was good, for dinner we went to Liberty Tree Tavern in MK, the one thing that went really wrong with this meal was the bread, it was a brick, I looked around the restaurant and every tables basket was full no one in the restaurant was eating it, the butter is soft and sweet and I noticed people just sampling the butter, I have eaten at this place over 10 times and it was horrible, finally the waitress admitted to me that the bread was the only thing not made IN HOUSE the bread is now OUTSOURCED, How does Disney not notice the waste that this has caused, Salad, meats, dressing, potatoes, Mac N cheese were perfect as well as the Johnny cake dessert, but I know it is picky but I remember eating baskets of that bread and that sweet butter for as long as I can remember, next time I will just tell them not to bring it, Friday, our last day we ate at Seasons again She got the spicy cashew chicken with noodles, she couldn't decide if she like this or the Mongolian beef better but would get both again, I got the Pork Chop with mashed potatoes and BBQ sauce, this is the first time I had tried this and it was very very good, she got the cheese cake I got the carrot cake could only eat half but were good, our last dinner was at Whispering Canyon Café, this was a fun place I can see why it is recommended for families, I would say its a western style Ohanas we tried all meats I didn't like the fish but she did, corn was good as well as the mashed Potatoes but again the bread, this looked like one of those Boston Market loaves of Corn bread, I didn't even ask because I already knew the answer, we were so full and on our way to the MNSSHP so we skipped dessert, but I def would recommend this place to anyone, as far as our snack credits we used every one thru the week at the Caramel store in Germany OMG everything there is filled drizzled of dunked in caramel and chocolate this is a very good use of snack credits. This was an awesome fun filled, food filled week, now back to the reality of having to plan my next WDW trip!
