It seems like I am in the minority here, but the BR made me finally break down and get an AP. For my three day trip in december it saves us about 240 on the room only. Couple that with using it in the parks and using it for my october trip, and it already paid for itself. I love the fact that I already know the discount before I book. And the discount seems to be as much or more than recent ap rates, as I remember on mousesaver the savings at deluxes were a pretty standard 75 bucks off.

I hope that isn't the only reason you got the AP because if it is, you will be dissapointed if they don't offer rates during a time frame that you will need in the future. I also hope that you will not have to change or cancel your ressie. As long as you can adhere to all of their terms, you will have no problems with the BR. Usually the days in the park pay for the AP just by itself :goodvibes You can now also get the Disney Dining Card for $50 & that is a great savings :goodvibes

Kirbsam,

Congrats from a fellow cheesehead!! Enjoy your trip, enjoy using your AP and enjoy your discounts (remember, there are also some dining discounts available to AP holders if you didn't want to purchase the DDE)

The Best Rates ARE just as good (and sometimes better) than the old call-in rates and as long as people continue to book via Best Rate, they will stay around. Also, if you're happy with the BR program, email Disney & let them know :earsboy:

AP is a great way to save money. If this is your first trip as AP holders, remembering to mention that you are an AP holder each time you purchase something is probably the most work you will do. There are many perks built into the program and you just have to use it--keep telling the clerks/waiters about it, especially if you layer on the Dining Plan. Have a great time. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

where can I find out more about the AP? I probably wouldn't go more than once a year , but tapping into those savings does sound tempting. How much do they run and is there a place to get a discounted Ap?
