Just got an awesome rate on budget!

I just thought I would share as I have found awesome advice and help on this forum. Got an awesome rate for a mid size SUV on budget using this following:

Wow that seems high. I usually only spend $100 a week on a rental. At least that is what I have paid during past several trips. I paid $86 for 8 days in feb. for a mid size

Check you rate again as your trip gets closer that is when the rental rates drop. I always book my car on Tue before my trip because that is the day rental companies release their last minute car rental rates.

Really? I thought that was a pretty good rate for. Mid size SUV. At least, it's the cheapest rate I found. I plan on continuing my search until we leave, so I hope to see the rate drop. Thanks for the suggestion!

I think it's actually a good rate. Always keep an eye out for better ones, and remember that we're comparing February to June. June rates will always be higher.

Just used those codes for our trip (June 9-16) and it comes out to $166 for the week. My only concern is whether we could fit 3 kids in carseats in the back (2 full, one booster). I'm guessing no. Best rate I have going so far on a minivan for that week is $304 at National via the KLM code.

Only problem for me with these codes is that the discounts stop at the intermediate SUV level. But for anyone who doesn't need a caravan, this is a good deal as far as I've seen so far.

Thank you! I just booked an intermediate SUV for my parents in Portland, Maine for $189 with tax for a week! That is sooo much better than the $311 I had booked previously!

I'm not the OP, but I know that the D454300 is their own discount based on their spokesperson Wendie Malick. And the MUWZ020 is their own online discount coupon. In other words, no problems.

I found the code on Flyer talk it is called "Wendie's Special." It looks like the code is a temporary type rate. Hope this helps!

Yikes! I know the rate is a temporary rate and it may be good for certain dates?!?!? Sorry the rate did not help you....

Just wanted to bump this thread up as I just used the 2 codes and saved a ton! Also, found a little more info about one of the codes--

Use Budget BCD D454300. Valid for rental pickup by 6/15/13 at participating locations. Not valid in New York Metro, Martha's Vineyard, Salt Lake City, Hawaii. Five day minimum rental with 14 day maximum for weekly rates.

which is probably why someone you aren't helped with the code.
