Just got an amazing postcard code and...I'm Canadian so there's hope for Canucks!

Although it is great that Canadians finally get to receive postcards for resort discounts....I have to agree with the above poster. I wonder how Disney goes about sending these discounts. You'd think that they would encourage the loyal visitors too. I for one don't even want to tally how much $$ I have spent at WDW in the last 5 years but it does tick me off just a little ( ok, alot) that this is being done.

Congratulations to the original poster:banana:  :cool1: :cool1:

Basic principle of marketing with regard to brand loyalty is that you do not need to provide discounts to customer who have reached the brand loyalty stage. You offer specials and discounts to customers to try and create brand loyalty.

Interesting point of view. I am wondering if they will consider trying to create brand loyalty out west here:lmao:

I don't know about not offering the discount to people who have been often...

I have gone 4 times in the last two years (1 moderate, 3 deluxe) and I am in the system as going 14 times in my life (we went every Feb when I was a kid to the MK and I went a couple of times in my early 20's but have never stayed on property) and I got a discount email last night.

BTW, gotta dance :cool1: I booked the CR Magic Kingdom view for 5 nights for 3 adults for $2888.97 - a savings of just over $1000! I am walking on air today.

I too have been 5 times since last May and had a trip booked for Aug'07 with bounceback and I got a postcard.

I have been over 20 times in total.

A little frustrating.
We are leaving next Tuesday and just got the offer (ours has Stitch on it). We got the deal with Free park hoppers/waterparks but this would have saved us a LOT more money... we didn't want the extra options.
Sigh...

Anyone know... is this a room only discount or can you add dining?

I added dining to mine.

I am not sure who is getting discounts and why, but I called Disney the other night to get a quote, and they had all my mailing info and such correct, but they showed my last visit was from 1997. I have gone 4 times since then(all on site).
I haven't gotten anything! Oh, well...

Wow! Those are great rates! I didn't get a postcard or e-mail but I'm crossing my fingers for a code :goodvibes This would be my first trip in more than 2 years.

I'am Canadian and I also received the postcard, Since 2004 this will be my 5th and 6th visit - my sister in law who has been once (with me) got the email version of the same! I was able to book 2 rooms in Dec one for me and one for my sister in law (before she knew she got the code) and also another room in October for me for 3 nights. The CM was also trying to get me to book this February with the code, so that would have been 4 rooms with this pin! We now have another family wanting to join us in Dec and I was wondering if I'd be able to book another room with the pin code (especially since my sister in law now has her own). The CM did give me a letter code since I booked the whole package with dining etc, but I don't know if it works for everyone?? BTW, we are staying at the Poly in Dec, and the WL in Oct. I saved $1030 off Dec (family of 4 7nts) and $750 off WL in Oct (3 nts). THis is the first pin I've received and I'm so excited!

I was just curious.....did you just use the email code that others are using for the resort only? I also got the one with Stitch for the room discount. If you did use that code how much did you save overall....the full 40% on the room and dining?

The way I'm finally beginning to understand this is you can use the code and what it does is allow you to book a package versus the room only but the discount portion is still only on the room. So you will get the 40% off the rack rate of the room but still pay regular price for the park hoppers and dining. Considering we always have saved money on the dining package it's well worth it for us to go for the package with the room discounted!

Wooohooo:dance3: We have a room only ressie for the last two nights of our stay. We were booked at AKL (Savannah View) and just got to apply our code to it! Saved over $250 with the Hat code!!!!:yay:
