Just got AKL for 129.00 a night....

Don't be shy about asking for an upgrade when you check-in. The AKL has been historically generous with them when they've had the availability.

Wow that's a great rate! Please share how you got it (if you don't mind ) ... if I could get that rate, I'd consider switching from POFQ. AKL is one of our favourite resorts

We just got 135 per night at AKL for early August (still a great rate!). They had no more standard availability, so we have a pool view. Standards were 199 minus 85 dollars per night for the AP discount. These rates were also available at Wilderness Lodge, but they went fast, now they are at 161 per night. The reservations CM also quoted rooms on the August specials for the deluxe resorts around 150-180 per night. I was not aware that August is value season for the deluxe resorts, but regular season for value and moderate. At those rates, we wouldn't save much to stay at POR, where we usually stay, so we decided to try something new!

$135 per night for a pool view? WoW! That's terrific. I hope we get a good rate for our next trip. I want a pool view so much. We love the pool area at AKL. Have a wonderful time. You'll love this place.

If you are a Fl resident you can ask for the rate code AZE. I just book 2 nights at the AKL from Aug 13th to the 15th and got a standard room for $112.00 pllus tax a night.

I also would be very interested in learning how that great rate was obtained for Sept.! I got an emailed offer that got me about 25% off the rate at WL but would love to save even more. Since the rack rates for AKL and WL are basically the same, I thought about doing a resort move and would definitely do so with that rate.
