just got a prize in the mail

My kids started sending post cards in Sept.
5 cards a day everyday until the first week in December. We didn't send any out for the 2008 contest as we didn't win anything for the 2007 mail ins

Well the mailman came today with 3 boxes. In each box was a pair of Mickey ears and a cute card. this was a REALLY good thing as I have 3 kids
I guess they are still mailing out gifts to winners of the 2007 contest.

My magical moment will be not having to tell one of my kids they don't get a pair of mickey ears when they get home from school

I just won a pair of ears too! Post Man just came. I was kind of hoping to win the DVC.so I am going to take te ears and the card (unopened) to WDW when I go in Feb. and "re-gift" them to someone who looks like they need a Dream.

Yup, we leave in 14 days! I am going to take the ears and have their names put on them while we are there.

No as we decided not to do the 2008 contest because we didn't win anything for 2007. Now that my kids won something, I see myself being at the post office in the near future picking up more postcards

I just read another thread where someone else won 3 years today...

From that thread I realized the ones we won were the 2008 ears as they are dark blue with white ears. I guess they ran out of the 2007 ones

My daughter just got ears in the mail today too. We both won a pair of ears last year and had to sign for them, this pair we did not have to sign for, the mailman left them at the mailbox. This pair is different, dark blue with white ears. Nice, but not as nice as the ones we got last year. Still, very exciting to win

Today I got one of those pink 'sorry we missed you' cards from the post office saying I have something that has to be signed for. I sat there looking at it for 10 miunutes trying to figure out what in the world it could be, then it dawned on me -- DISNEY! I must have won something! yayy! I stopped sending the cards in months ago, once I thought the window had passed that we would receive the prize before our December trip. What a nice surprise! I hope that's what it is. It says it's a "large envelope, magazine or parcel." A lanyard maybe?

I am a Yankee fan, however the name comes from the fact that I am a born Yankee (Ohio) but live in Texas now. Will you be in WDW Fed 21-25 Th? Thats when I will be there!

My kids were really excited when they got home!

It's funny we spent all that money for 5 post cards a day for 4 months BUT.. it really seems kind of worth it in the long run. The cards kept them busy and gave them something to do for our upcoming trip. Getting the ears in the mail 2 weeks before we leave on our trip REALLY got them all excited about our trip

I know those ears were some EXPENSIVE ears when you count in all the post cards the kids did ... but well worth it as they are tickled to death that they had actually won something!!!
