just got a PIN code email for free dining for May, June, July, August 2011

they must be pretty weak on reservations for this coming summer - i just got yet another pin code email for free dining....
this one applies to April 23 through August 13th (reservations must be made by april 30th)....

i haven't checked the prices yet....every other time i've checked the pin codes, the rates have still been just too high for us....

We've been pretty much priced out of a disney vacation as a family...too bad....
since 1974, i've visited WDW at least once a year, some years twice or three times....but they've hit that price level that makes me balk....
and based on articles about the decreasing numbers of foreigners visiting WDW, apparently i'm not alone...
what with exhorbitant airfares, and insanely high ticket prices and hotel rates, a disney vacation is ever more out of reach for those of us who have to come from very far away....

i'll still work the numbers on this code....
the last time i crunched the numbers, the all in price for 6 of us (airfare, tickets, rooms, free dining) was in the vicinity of $20,000.....simply not doable, even for the most committed disneyholic...

i guess disney has found the antidote to their koolaid...

i really don't know what disney is thinking..
i just worked the numbers..

for the very same free dining trip DD took 2 years ago, the price has more than doubled...

2 years ago it was $1450...
The very same free dining package would now cost DD $3,000 with this new pin code....
do they really think that's enticing?

guess i'm going to pass on this pin code too....
