Why can't I get a pin for the dates I can travel?!

UPDATE (6-16)- My DH got the same offer via snail mail today. He has his own account on Disney with a separate email address then me but same mailing address. Same dates and booking dates.

WDW just had a promo that had to be booked by 5/18 that had free dining several dates thru the summer months...

I think these are the same dates for the free dining pin that some folks around here have been receiving. Looks like Disney has tweaked the details for this email, but for the same dates.

It was the same percentage off for what the general public deal is right now for August and September.

It was worth noting to that this was sent to an email that I rarely use/check anymore. I think I used this email to book our very first family trip back in 2009, but all the trips since then (about 2 a year) have been through a different email.

I got the one that is these dates but for QSDP at values and DDP at mods and deluxes.
My husband got one too!
However, after our August trip we won't be going back until 2013.
I was just happy to get a PIN again. I used to get them all the time and then they completely stopped for at least a year.

ETA) My Pin said something like "for past WDW resort guests".

I got a PIN through the snail mail back in January - it was for free QSDP at Value or Mod and was for check-in dates in Oct (don't remember which) and 1st Dec - 20th Dec which was perfect for us, we're going 7th Dec.

Man I am crossing my fingers that we get one of these pins sent to us. We are flexible to travel anytime during those dates, since my husband is coming home from Afghanistan in early October and is taking 30 days of leave. We can't use any of the current military discounts because they all expire while he is still overseas so we really need a pin!!

Because the whole purpose of PINs for Disney is to get you to come when they want you to come not when you want to come. They are having trouble filling rooms on certain dates.

Every PIN we have ever got (4 last year, 2 this year) have always directly related to dates we put in when planning a vacay on their site and they haven't all been off-peak dates either.

Try saving some quotes on their website for the dates you want. That works sometimes.

Oh I do! I've tried all the tricks the boards recommend. The dates for the pin are actually pretty good, in fact we went during that time last fall. We just are taking a break this fall from WDW. We just came back in April and are planning a trip elsewhere for fall.

I received a pin via snail mail a while back for 30% off any room for the dates of OPs pin. We weren't planning a trip (just took one in April), but I kept it just in case. Well, today, DH said book a trip and I pulled out my offer and it said book by June 7. I plan to call to see if they can still apply it, but I'm not holding my breath.
