JUst got a Kindle!! Free book link?

DH just surprised me with an early valentine's gift...a kindle! I have been yearnign for one for months. I tend to get all my books from the Library so I am going to see if I can upload from there. I seem to remember a website that listed all the free Kindle books? Or the best day to check for the free books? Where is the best place to look on the Amazon website for the free books?

You can not check books out of the library with a Kindle, only nook and Sony have that feature. Idk the exact link to the free books but if you go to kindleboards.com there are two posts - free books and bargain books

Check the amazon site, my husband downloads free books all the time, he has over 60 books, he has only paid for 3 of those and has had his for about a year and a half-Loves it!!! Some are only free for a short time, look under Top Sellers, he finds most of them there.

It used to be that you'd find free stuff around the end of the month, but now that pattern seems to have dissipated. You never know when stuff'll pop up. I tend to look around once a week.

Don't expect to go download a library in one day . . . but keep looking. I've had my Kindle for about 10 months, and I have about 95 books. Probably 75% of those were free. I haven't read them all, but I always grab freebies (if they look good at all) because they don't always stay free forever.

On kindleboards.com, there's a section under 'The Book Bazaar' where free and bargain price books are listed. They don't always remain free/cheap so if you're interested it's best to grab them (especially the free ones) when you see them available.

On Amazon, on the homepage, place your cursor on 'kindle' then click on 'books' from the pop-up menu. If you click on 'kindle bestsellers' there's 3 different tabs (best sellers, hot new releases, and movers and shakers). Each of these sections often have the most popular free/cheap books available along with the pricier books. Also when you're in the Kindle Store section of Amazon, you can type in 0.00. This will search and display books available in kindle form that are currently or have been free in the past.

Oh, and there's also a section called 'big deals on kindle' on the same page where 'kindle bestsellers' is located. This also shows free books that are available.
