just got a ipod touch - help

me please. I wanna sync it with the same computer as dd's Nano. I remember (vaguely) running across a thread about erasing everything in your playlist if you hook another ipod up. I don't want to do that...

I'm assuming once this is hooked up it is going to let me choose it & then I can download the same playlists to it?

Actually, I think the normal restriction is the other way. You can sync multiple iPods up with a single computer/iTunes installation, but each iPod can only be synced with a single computer. I believe there are tricks to get around this restriction, but basic usage holds to the limitations. if you connect an iPod to a computer other than the one it is synced with, it will prompt you that it will delete the items on the iPod before syncing with this new computer. The intention is to not allow you to add additional songs here and there from other computers. While syncing, you can use the setting that always resyncs everything or allow yourself the option to drag and drop only those items you want.
