Just got a great rate from AVIS

I just got what I think is a great rate from AVIS. 9 day rental 4 door intermediate unlimited mailage all taxes and fee's

$217.95 total

$100 cheaper then their closest competitor and $400 less them Alamo

I called and asked them for there best rates for the date and time that I wanted it.

That is a AAA rate for Jan 20-29

just thought I would pass this along

You might want to try Dollar on line...we have a 7 day rental for a fullsize through them for dates overlapping yours for $128 for the week (taxes, etc included). Have had it for a month or so...rates may change, you might want to keep checking.

How did you get the $128 rate with Dollar...that is great! Did you use any coupon codes, etc.

I tried Dollar yesterday also but it was like $315.00 or right around there. I will keep trying until I leave to find the best rate but sofar out of 5 agency's Avis is it.

The Dollar rate was great...may have been a fluke...but it is a confirmed rate so they will honor. The only code I used was the MAG code (from the Orlando Magic Card ... free to anyone)...it was a 10% discount but it doesn't show up until the last page of the reservation. Keep looking their rates fluctuate like crazy.
