Just got a call from IC!!

We stayed in the Roy suite 3 years ago; the Walt suite 2 years ago. So now our ultimate Disney Cruise vacation idea is to have both - one for SoccermomCheri's family, one for mine! I know I must sound snobby when I say we don't want to settle for less; I don't mean to. But once you've stayed there, you just don't want to go back! We just can't get past the idea of having both cat. 1 suites, 2 great DIS parties, DIS friends coming and going all week long... Now doesn't that sound like a great cruise?!

Sounds great!!! I hope you get it and we're on the same dates...We're in for a DIS party!!!

Since we are on the East coast I wasn't one of the ones jumping for joy over the west coast cruises. My family is still dragging their feet, but wouldn't if the suite comes through. If not we will book, but might change our minds and do RCL again like we are this summer.

I just got a call. Like a previous poster, it was a call to see if I knew the cruise was out of the west coast and if we were still interested. I told her yes, especially since we live in Nevada. Our request had been for late June or July. She asked if any week in July was no good for us. I told her no. She then said it would probably be either July 13th or 20th. Either works for us right now. She then said that I would hear back on Tuesday.

I'm so excited. Now I just have to make sure that I figure out the call forwarding!

We requested the last 2 weeks in June. It would be great if we were able to get on the same cruise again, but it sounds like we'll be in the laundry room, since no one is calling us!!

Beth, don't worry yet! From your posts, it sounds like your TA is on top of things. We would love to cruise with your family again. Our sailing last June was the best one yet and we attribute it to you and the other families that we met online. Everybody got along so well that you would have thought we all knew each other beforehand.

IC just called me! No pricing yet - they were calling to see if I was still interested and I screamed YES!!!! The lovely lady verified some info (first category choice, sailing date, phone numbers). She said they will be calling early next week (most likely Tuesday for me!).

So they're not calling to actually book yet, but they are getting close!!!

hmmm...I wonder why they let Daisy & Donald Duck book then and not others. Of course, I am not 100% sure they would have let me book but she specifically said "I can book you on a Mexican Riviera cruise in August" which implied to me that she was ready to book right there and then!

They're just trying to keep everybody guessing!! When the gal called, she was very clear that she was only calling to get some information from me, to make sure I was "still interested" and that the booking call would be made on Tuesday. I was tempted to beg "PLEASE, book me now!!!!"

IC confused quite a few of us when we saw that they were calling and booking August 2008. Hey! What happened to May, June and July?!!!!

no, we are booked on the April 26, 2008 Eastern. This is our first Disney cruise and I really wanted to experience the whole Disney terminal thing in PC and Castaway Cay. Plus, we have been to Mexico several times but never the caribbean! And from the sounds of it, we won't be saving a lot, if any, flying to Florida in April as opposed to driving to the port in the summer!

Would LOVE to do the repo, since we'd still get to go to Castaway Cay, but we just can't swing it! Even if I wanted to take the kids out of school for two weeks, they will have testing in May, and we're back to school during the Western repo and I don't want them to miss the first couple days of school! Besides, I work in an elementary school office and there is no way they would let me take 2 days off right before school starts/the first few weeks of school! That's our busiest time of the year!

ETA: I am addicted to Costco. I was just there this morning

dreamcometrue: I have to say, I agree with your thinking 100%! The Disney terminal at PC, Castaway Cay, the Caribbean... awesome!

And you're right, you wouldn't save a dime by going on a west coast cruise, even considering airfare, because the Mexico DCL cruises will be way expensive.

With all that said...

I still want my suite for Mexico in '08!

We just got our call from IC. We had sent in our request in June of '06 asking for and Eastern or any special cruise in June of '08. Since we aren't interested in Mexico we booked April '08 and will be keeping that one. So one more call they won't have to make next week.

I don't understand...if they called us and gave us a reservation number, which we were able to check online (only with no transfers, insurance etc)...how come they are not booking everyone else. I have never had IC call us before so I am not sure how they work. But my reservation number had all the correct information on it down to the room number and second dinner seating. Do you think this is just a "dummy" reservation? Maybe the August sailings weren't as popular as June and July (the IC did say the two august sailings were cheaper), and that's why they are booking them to make sure they fill up?

Maybe you are the only one that requested that specific cat on that specific date? So they went ahead and booked you into it.
