Just got a Boardwalk view studio for Spring Break!

We are visiting my mother in S. Fla. for Spring Break. We decided to drive from Indy, since airline tickets are crazy high that week We bought DVC PAP's during the promotion in Dec to use then and for our July trip to WDW. We decided we would head back early from mom's and try to hit Typhoon Lagoon for a day. Just out of curiosity, I decided to see what was available that evening. Much to my surprise, a BWV boardwalk view studio was available for Thursday and Friday night! So, now we will be dining at Kouzzina on Thurs for dinner and Tutto on Friday!!

Should be a nice way to finish Spring Break, although I dread driving through Atlanta on Saturday

We were shocked that the boardwalk view studio was available at this late date. I honestly was not expecting to get anything in the Epcot area for that week, but BWV had pool/garden studios, too. I just checked availability today, and the BW view studios are unavailable. Obviously, I got lucky last night!

Due to crown reports, we have avoided WDW for Spring Break. This will give us a little peak of what it is really like. We were also surprised that there was a fair amount of availability at most of the TS restaurants (with the exception of BOG, of course). I guess Spring Breakers at Disney don't do TS meals.

What dates do you consider Spring break? Around here it is march 11-15. Crowds aren't too bad at spring break. Just have a plan and be flexible

I probably should have said "Premiere Season". This is the Spring Break time for the public schools in Indiana and most of the Midwest. Our schools happen to be off 3/29-4/7.

I got BW view in a 1BR, at about 4-5 months out. I was surprised. I was going to book my home resort (BCV), but decided to jump on the BW view. We arrive March 16.

Congrats! We just got home this week from a BW view studio. My one suggestion is to request a high floor. We got stuck in a first floor studio next to the preview center. It is a quiet time to be there so it wasn't horrible, just not the greatest view, and lacked privacy. Felt like we were on display when sitting outside. Don't know how often they actually even look at requests, but it can't hurt.
Have a great time. It's my favorite place on property.

I've stayed in that very studio. To add to it, I had transferred in BWV points, so DH could enjoy the BW view , requesting a high floor. Well we all know they're just requests

We are taking a cruise from Miami over Easter (non disney) and instead of flying down Saturday morning to get to the boat, it hit me maybe we should fly to Orlando and spend a night in a studio......yeah fat chance. Good Friday is booked solid at every resort. Any chance a wait list would open in the next week or so? Have to book airfare soon. Wish I thought of this when we booked the cruise (although that was only in December .

I will plan to request a high floor. We had a 4th floor room over the Screen Door last year and it was very cool being able to see Spaceship Earth and the Illuminations fireworks. I would hate that first level room, but were only there for two nights, so I guess it would not be so bad.

They are both gone again. I don't have any points available without borrowing, and I have a trip in Dec that we aren't going to stay as long as we thought. Need to cancel 2 days off that reservation to get the points back. Then when a room opens again, I will snag it. If 1 opened in the last 24 hours, I'm sure 1 will open again. I got the airfare straight, the car rental, the wife's approval......All I need is a room to open again

You are awesome but I screwed up the math/use year thing. I have no 2012 points left. Used them all in Nov. I can't borrow 2013 as all but 13 are currently used for my dec 2013 trip. But I have days I need to cancel off that trip and I forgot to call to cancel those days. I forgot to call before they closed.

This sucks. AKV is not a resort we are familiar with and would love to check it out for a night......especially for the lower points. Hopefully it's still there in the morning.

Either way I'm now hopeful to get a room and a bit of magic on to our cruise. Real nice jab from my wife to say tonight that she will be dying to go to disney and not step into the MK. No park visit planned for this overnight. I am NOT buying four 1 day tickets.

It really is amazing how available can change within a matter of minutes. I called this morning, cancelled what I needed to for Dec, and while on the phone nothing was available. An hour later a studio at Old Key West opened up so I grabbed it. I'll keep checking on the Jambo Standard as I think the kids would enjoy that resort more, but we'll really take any studio for the night. I don't think I have to will power to take a BLT studio......seeing the park would break my will and I would spend for the 1 day tickets

Congrats on getting something for your trip. It truly is amazing how much the availability changes from day to day. Now I am considering watching for BCV for my 2 nights so we can try SAB. Although, I don't think I can give up our BW view!

I don't know why even though I have a room now, but i keep checking periodically and the only thing I've seen open up was SSR today. Considered swapping it as we stayed there before, but its the perfect time to try something new in OKW.
