If I recall, if you arrive later in the day for that purpose, there is a discounted parking rate.

Yes...it's full price until 6PM then it drops to $5.00 until 10PM. Now the only disclaimer is if you're going during a nighttime event such as Mardi Gras or Halloween Horror Nights, discount parking doesn't not apply until much later in the evening.
