Taking the fam down august 28-sept 4. Cant wait. First timers. Any advise what to stay away from and what to do.

welcome here are 2 suggestions head to the beach club resort for the kitchen sink at beaches and cream, if you love ice cream and have kids you will love this! There are pictures here on the disboards that others have posted of it , look under restraunts you should be able to find it then, it is soooo good! Another idea would be to see cirque de soile it is an amazing must see show at down town disney, I highly recommend it! Who is travelling with you and if any kids how old? that would help to give you more info, where are you staying ? Have you reserved any dining? Feel free to ask away and will try and help with any questions you may have , have a safe and magical trip!

Hey welcome, I have never been either. I am currently planning our first trip, my post trip report is in my sig if you want to check it out. I would suggest you join a roll call thread with people going the same time as you. They have great times search 10 things first timers should know. I like reading pols trip reports. Also for cool ideas go to just for fun section and look at dis signs there cool and kids love them. I have more suggestions on my ptr. Great meeting you, I know your family will have fun.
