I just wanted to share some of the items I found at the Dollar Tree to take with us on our trip.

The first one is an over-the-door toiletry holder. (It looks very similar to a shoe caddy)

5-in-1 Cotton holder. It is a plastic container and lid with 5 compartments that has different types of cotton accessories. Such as Q-tips, cotton balls, cotton squares, etc.

Shower caddy to put over the shower head.

Keep in mind that all of these items were just $1. We also found waterless anti-bac gel, mesh sponges, anti-bac wipes and spray, etc.

The over-the-door toiletry holder sounds interesting. Can you tell me approximately how big it is?

I have a clear vinyl over-the-door shoe holder that we always take on cruises with us. But, we're renting a condo, and I'd rather have something smaller since we'll have 2 1/2 baths this time.

It has 9 pockets and is 9.5"x40"

Thanks for the tip, I don't normally shop at Dollar Tree so I'll go check it out.

That's what I've been meaning to do all week... go to the Dollar Store! Thanks for the reminder. I hope I can find some cool things also.

My Dollar Tree must haves are...

1) Tissues - is the package of 6 (or 8, I don't remember) small packages of tissues. These tissues are much stronger than kleenex, and they are larger too. I always keep one of the small packages in my bag because they work great as tissues, napkins, toilet paper (in an emergency) or even to wipe sweat off your face if you get really hot. A great multi-purpose item, and you get 6 or 8 small packs for $1.00.

2) Over the shower head, shower supply holder. I hate it when everything falls off the side of the tub when you are in the shower. I take this on every trip.

3) Rain Ponchos

We just bought:

a pop-up laundry hamper...great for collecting the dirty clothes and for carrying them to the laundry room

collapsable storage boxes...great for putting underwear in in the dresser drawers...also put one on the table to collect maps, keys to the world, and other misc. things

Ditto to the pop-up laundry hamper! My last trip was 3 females in a value room...the hamper was great for keeping things picked up! :worship:

Dollar Tree is by far and away the BEST place to shop for those little items you'll need at WDW. I've picked up toothpaste, shampoo (real name brands!), ponchos (2 for a buck!), hairbrushes, tissues, snacks, decorations - you name it, and all for a dollar each.

The Dollar tree Is great, but I find at times that I am buying things "I might use" on the trip and up not useing:rotfl2: ,oh well If I do not use it for the trip i can uise it later on. Also I look for things just shopping around on my daily activates, I have started a trip box were I just put the stuff in there.

Ok, I'm not a dollar store shopper, but I really want to pick up those rain ponchos so I've been to two and can't find them.

Maybe I'm just distracted by all the Christmas decorations? :confused3

But where in the store are these cheap rain ponchos?

I think I've been to Family Dollar and another one that I can't remember the name of. Oh and a Big Lot. No ponchos.

Thanks,
Heather

speaking of Dollar Tree i was just there and got those tiny towels that are compressed and once you add water to them they turn into a towel... they had Disney ones and i got a Mickey one, so worth a dollar. :thumbsup2

Don't forget the ponchos. At 2 for a $1.00 these are great for Kali River Rapids!

I bought rain poncho from target, they were 99 cents. super cheap very think not like the vinyl ones but they are very small and don't take up a lot of space. hopefully they dont tear if we have to where them!

The ponchos work ok for kali river rapids and over all light showers(stress light:goodvibes ):confused3 .But what I found out with them is that they are kind of short for most adults, I got soaked from about the waist down, I even tucked them under neath my legs at the bigging of the ride, but there just was not enough meteral to keep it from coming out,and if you are just walking around and raining,if there is any wind or a hard down pour its just not going to help much. For kids I think there perfict for the excption of the shoes every one is going to get wet here if you have them on the floor. We also used them during the parade one time, it was pouring you would of thought we had just taken a shower,we had them on before it started raining and still, other then our shirts( we had to use the shirt as a towle:rotfl2: ) we got soaked:rotfl2: . Now It could be that all ponchos are like this, and will buy them again like i said there ok, but we will now always bring change of clouthing to the parks just In case:rotfl2:

We are at POP with 3 adults, so saving space is top priority. I have the shoe caddy for personal items and also have a 'hanging shelf' kind of thing. It is canvas, hangs from the rod, and has about 4 -5 compartments. I'll let DH and DS have the drawers and I'll take the hanging shelves.

I just bought a Tinkerbell journal at Dollar Tree that DD will use for her autograph book:) Also 2 Disney photo albums (princesses and tink).
