I am so excited to be going to BWV for our 1st DVC stay in a week or so. Now I get word that my 2 stepchildren, who live down in FL, are coming to stay a day or 2 at the end of our 7 day stay. I only booked a 1BR and have borrowed points already for July's trip to HHI........my question is will my 2 children (both under 3 1/2) be counted towards the 4 people limit or is it possible to add a 2BR for only the 2 days? Does this make sense? I hate to turn this into a debate, because I just need an answer....quickly! :) I didn't think I would have to worry about the 1BR vs. 2BR thing for awhile yet! :)
BTW.............
WE LEAVE IN 7DAYS!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Why not see if you can get an extra studio for those two days. That way, you won't have to move from a 1BR to a 2BR and back again.

Honestly, I would be surprised at this late date if they would be able to switch your ressie to a 2 bedroom or add another studio, I was there last week and they were completely sold out.I'm sure you could get away with your stepchildren staying in your 1 bedroom for a night with you, mind you thered be a couple people sleeping on the floor. The question is would that be a little too close for comfort for you all?

You never know until you call....getting them a BWV studio would be the easiest solution. I'm assuming the stepchildren are adults, they don't necessarily have to sleep the same place as you. The CBR is almost directly across the street from BWV and you might be able to pay cash for something there....for that matter the Downtown Disney hotels aren't very far (10 minutes tops straight down Buena Vista). Or, you could try to get them a studio on points at OKW, also less than 10 minutes away.

You would be over the limit in the room but aside from that....how comfortable would all of you be using one bathroom?

Since my stepkids are only 16 and 18 we are going to have them close by........though I am SURE they would love the freedom of their own room! ;)
I'll see what they can do at this late date.....I believe at this point they are only actually staying one night and 2 days, then coming up north with us for a few weeks.....whee, due to construction, we will only have one bathroom anyway! :) Okay 6 days to go and it figures there has to be a hitch! Thanks gang, as always!!!!

hi Kathy., Hope all works out well with the tight quarters. we just got back from 12 days at OKW. It was so much fun..The AK parade was the best, so much color.. see you at the reunion. dave diot.. :smooth: :smooth: ps.. i now work at Gracies in rocky point.....;)

1 of your toddlers wouldn't count. The other would. But since its just one night I might request a 2nd fold up toddler bed when you check in & put the two teens on the sofa bed or on the floor in sleeping bags.

By the way I know they aren't "toddler beds" but I don't know what they are called...I don't have kids...the foldupwhatchamahoosis in the closet that comes with studios.

Sounds like Doubletrouble has come up with a solution!

Unless your really lucky Tomskatt there is nothing avail. As we are going at about the same dates and I've been booking rooms for 3 different rooms. We have a 2, 1 and studio. The studio came after being on the wait list for 3 weeks. and I tried to upgrade the 1 to a 2 without any luck. So right now it doesn't look to good from my vantage point.

Not to get into a debate from everybody but I think the fact that you have to young children under 3 1/2. I wouldn't think have the step kids join you for a day or two would be to bad.

It depends on the ages. One wouldn't count if UNDER 3, if they're twins and 3 or over, both will count.

Since your stepchildren are only staying 1 night and the other children are toddlers, I am sure you will be fine for one night. The teenagers can sleep in the sofabed and the toddlers can either share the king bed with the adults or have one toddler sleep with the teens and the other sleep in the king bed w/adults, or if the child is small enough sleep in the port-a-crib that is provided with the villa.

Hi again gang! Looks like we are going to be living in pretty close quarters for awhile......there is just nothing available at this late date......gee what a surprise! Ahhhhhh perfect .....I get to deal with this aggrivation in the Land of the Evil Step Mother! Perfect!!!!! :) We are really looking forward to this trip though and know we ALL will have a ball! :)
